It's the second inning and Cespedes already has a multi-hit game.

Enmanuel Martinez was promoted from the DSL to the FCL. Semi-random choice, at least on the surface, but interesting that they are showing they're willing to do it after some reports they may not. Would hope that means Cespedes will get a shot.

Note that the DSL Red Sox Blue have again used two De La Cruzes for three innings each; is the third De La Cruz warming up?

Johanfran Garcia 2-3 with a couple walks. How much longer until Salem? His last five games: 11-20, three doubles, a triple, two homers, 2BB:5K. .340/.436/.617 through 40 PAs so far this season.

He and Brannon have both done some intriguing things.
I wonder if their performances are related at all to the promotion of Endmanual Martinez. Wait for him to arrive and then you can promote Garcia. Two weeks ago, though, it was looking like Brannon would ge the early promotion. Now he's cooled off and Garcia is hot. Love to se young catchers doing well.

Corey Rosier up to Worcester. Gotta feel for Tyler Dearden. Gets promoted to AAA for the first time but then sent back down before you make your debut. Then another outfielder gets promoted instead of you when the AAA team needs some reinforcements. Good for Rosier, though. He’s definitely earned it.

That oppo power he's got will play nicely with the monster.

I thought that was last night's highlight. But he does it again.

That oppo power he's got will play nicely with the monster. Pretty crazy how easily his power plays to all fields at his age. He’s only going to get stronger

He’s only going to get stronger He's going to get stronger and bigger for better or worse. Not saying he won't stick at SS but he's already pretty big for a SS so something to monitor. The added power in the batters box will be a definite good thing though.

Mayers SS defense is still light years ahead of what the BoSox have gotten over the last few years (including 2023).
And lucky for him, instincts are why he's considered an MLB SS - not his speed, or lack thereof.

Corey Rosier up to Worcester. Odd. Abreu and Rosier are so similar. 5’ 10” left handed batting 24 year olds who play an acceptable right field, have pretty good hit tools, but don’t walk much.

Why is that odd? They’re not going to keep a guy down because there’s a relatively similar player (I’d disagree they’re not even that similar given their best tools are entirely opposites) already in AAA
