I just now realized how badly we need Jeremy Wu-Yelland to make it to Worcester.

Fraymi De Leon was indeed added to the FCL roster.

I just now realized how badly we need Jeremy Wu-Yelland to make it to Worcester. Sounds like a direct quote from the Worcester marketing team. His name is a dream scenario, so many things you can do with Wu and Worcester

Wyatt Olds getting the start down in the FCL. Yuten back in the lineup. It's too bad Yuten doesn't have a brother like the Garcias and Salazars. Would be fun to discuss the two Yute-ns.

You want a whole Yuten clan?

I got my kids his jersey because Yuten is for the children.

Portland serving up yesterday's Coffey today, saving Gambrell for tomorrow (with tomorrow's Game 2 TBD).

Don’t look now but Wyatt Olds has thrown four innings without a walk, wild pitch, or a hit batsman.

Don’t look now but Wyatt Olds has thrown four innings without a walk, wild pitch, or a hit batsman. He hadn’t even struck out a batter throw the first three…(did get a K in the 4th). Have they switched him to throwing with an underhand/softball motion?

Cespedes with his third HR of the year. And yet still trails fellow SS Arias after his 2-5 day, bringing the average back to .393 with .933 OPS Be interesting to see who gets PT in the FCL next year.

As things currently stand, FCL Red Sox have three players in the top 10 in OPS in the FCL: Johanfran Garcia (7th), Johnfrank Salazar (9th), and Natanael Yuten (10th).
I'm pretty surprised Salazar is still in the FCL. He's only caught twice so far this season so I don't think the catching situation is blocking him.

Shouldn't be an issue. I imagine they'll split time, although Arias is the better defensive SS currently so I wouldn't be surprised if Cespedes got time at 2B/3B.

If you look at Salem and add Romero, you could see how they might not see room for him there with 2 catchers needing time and a full infield. The lack of catcher time for him is very strange though.

Arias with a .933 OPS on the strength of high BA (.393), an ok IsoD (.076), and low IsoP (.071). Cespedes with a .941 OPS on the strength of high BA (.343), very low IsoD (.027), and robust IsoP (.228). With regard to Cespedes, I'm not sure if I'm horrified by the fact that he's walked only 3 times against DSL pitching thus far, or if I'm extremely impressed that he can put up that BA/SLG without being very selective. Maybe a little bit of both to be honest.

Juan Chacon is leaving the game with a left wrist/hand injury. Fouled off a pitch and called the trainers out. Tried to stay in the game but after a few practice swings, he walked off.

Noah Dean somehow managed to escape with no runs. Managed to walk 6 batters in only 1.2 innings. Escaped thanks to a nice double play by Ravelo at 3rd and a pickoff. Fastball 93-94-couldn’t land it at all. Mid-80s changeup looked like his best pitch. Curveball was up and down (pun intended). Sometimes could land it and sometimes couldn’t. Mostly in the high 70s but threw a handful that were 74-75.
Not a good start, but he’s definitely a reliever down the line. Might need the Wyatt Olds treatment if he can’t learn to throw a strike though.
