Don't think Duran has the arm for RF, don't think Teel will be ready, don't know why you'd squander Story at DH when most of his value is on defense. But add one FA outfielder to this, move Yoshida to DH, move Story to 2B, and move Yorke to backup/depth and you're looking pretty good.
So...to check the FA outfielder list for 2025...

C-Wong 1st-Casas 2nd-Story SS- Mayer 3rd- Devers LF- Duran CF- Rafaela RF- Verdugo DH- Yoshida infield utility- Valdez 4th OF- Abreu Ace- Bello That gives us a ton of good prospects we can trade for pitching because we’re going to need it! Jensen and Martin will be gone 😢. Not going to lie it hurts to not put Turner out there. I’m going to miss that man ALOT! |

I don't think think this team is signing Soto. I think Yamamoto is more realistic.
Plus, Duran looks like a good option for LF for years to come once Rafaela is ready. Verdugo buys enough time for Anthony to develop until yeah 2025.

Where Story winds up I have no idea. I dont think Verdugo gets extended.

One thing all these lineups would deliver is a tremendous amount of financial flexibility. So, with that in mind, I think we’re probably looking more towards an additional external option (or 2) for big money ($20mm AAV) then is being projected by most thus far.

They will have like 6/9 of the lineup on rookie deals. This team should be able to get pretty aggressive with free agent pitching to round out the roster. They also are starting to develop some pretty impressive depth and tradable assets. |

Observations:
Yorke feels expendable between the length of Story’s deal & superiority in the field, and the quantity of quality infielders in the system (Romero, Bonaci, Meidroth, etc.).
Teel slides in nicely to Reese spot and could create a high upside L/R catching tandem with Teel/Wong.
Blaze also seems like a nice fit into Justin Turner’s spot after next season as a RH complement to Devers, Casas, and Yoshida.
