Red Sox are sending Tyler McDonough to the AFL, per Bradford.

I'm waiting for aspersions to be casted.
Other men have been pilloried in the court of public opinion (in this forum especially).

And just like that I’m out on Brainer Bonaci
Can’t keep him if he hurt a woman or child

I wonder if his visa issues from the spring are related to this Extremely unlikely that he had a hard time coming to the U.S. in the spring because of an investigation that was far enough along to give him issues but didn't really become a thing until now.

I have lived in Phoenix since before there was an Arizona Fall League. I have never felt so indifferent about the prospect of attending an AFL game played by the team with Red Sox prospects on its roster.
In every other AFL season, I have seen at least 2 games in which Boston minor leagurers were playing. There was always at least one facinating Boston prospect to watch. This year, the Red Sox minor leaguers are so unremarkable that I may go to a game only bedcause my 9-year-old grandson loves baseball and is certain that every pitch is going to result in a ball being hit directly into his glove.

In the words of The Dude, that's just, like, your opinion, man. I'll give you that, especially with Bonaci out, the group this year lacks a top-ten or close prospect. But there have been plenty of years over that time where it's been one guy and a bunch of filler. Like I'd rather see this crew play than the following soxprospects.com/fall-winter201213.htmsoxprospects.com/fall-winter201415.htmsoxprospects.com/fall-winter201516.htmNearly the entire group is in the top 60. I guess it all depends on what you want to see though.

Regardless of how this site ranked the prospects, There was at least one player on each of those 3 rosters who I was excited about watching. Rusney Castillo, Tzu-Wei Lin, Christian Vasquez, Ryan Pressley, Devan Marrero, and a couple of others were on my radar. That was not 20-20 hindsight, either.

I would agree, we certainly don't have the top 5 type guy in the AFL. Although they lack the press clippings- I would say I am excited to see Penrod against better competition. I am also excited about Rosier as he seems like he has been playing great and will be interested to follow along with his AFL performance as well.

I'm most interested in Mata and Penrod for pretty much opposite reasons.
I was interested in Bonaci.

Penrod and Rosier named AFL “Fall Stars!” Go on, keep fighting about whether or not a Yaley who pulled off a 12 year MLB career is a wicked smart hard worker in that other thread. Or celebrate a couple underdog prospects putting in work of their own to get some press and deserved recognition . Congrats to Penrod and Rosier. Let’s go!
