I appreciate the need for off days etc. still would seem to make more sense to at least start the ALCS on a Saturday.

In Reno visiting my mom. May drop some green on the D-Backs. PHI's bullpen looks rough, AZ's looks tough.

No Houston and I'll be happy. Cool with the other three teams.

As a recent transplant to the southwest, I've decided to root for Arizona. Go D-Backs!
My rankings are D-Backs > Rangers >> Phillies (insufferable fans counteract a fun team) >>>> Astros

Are we still thinking the fans in Philly are insufferable at this point? Maybe working at a Philly based firm and having friends in Philly has softened me but they've been great this postseason, and the Turner standing ovation was the most off-stereotype thing I've seen a fan base do maybe ever.

Hoping for the Rangers to win their 1st World Series and of course wipe the Astro's out in the process. Wonder if any Seattle Pilots fans became and remained Rangers fans.

Crowd shots last night looked like genuine fans caring about what happened. Didn't see any flying batteries, either.

The Seattle Pilots moved to Milwaukee and became the Brewers. The expansion Washington Senators moved to Texas and became the Rangers. The original AL Washingtom Senators became the Twins in 1961 when the expansion Senators came into being.

I’m very impressed by the Phils fans, but I would still like to see the Santa test… can they trot him out without a booing?

Seattle Pilots became the Milwaukee Brewers. The Washington Senators left Washington after the 1971 season to become the Rangers. My first Red Sox game was in 1971 in DC when I watched Yaz pull back a home run ball that was pretty much gone. His glove was on the bullpen side of the fence. I have been a Red Sox fan ever since. Ted Williams was the manager of the 1971 Senators if memory serves me right.

Rangers DBacks World Series would make me happy Me too, but the TV people would not be happy. They're already gnashing their teeth that the sure draws are all out of the tournament.

Rangers DBacks World Series would make me happy TB, Mil, Tex were the only non-World Series winners at the start of the post season. I would love to see the Rangers vs the Diamondbacks. I also hope the Astros and Phillies loose big.

Well, Jordan Montgomery is going to cost more than I was hoping for. He was a beast against the peak cheating Astros in the 2017 ALCS. Probably going to get $200M now, he’s the 2023 version of 2004 Carlos Beltran

Well, Jordan Montgomery is going to cost more than I was hoping for. The Yankees traded him for Harrison Bader and then went and got Frankie Montas in ‘22, and Monty’s about to make more straight cash than both of them combined

Am I finding myself rooting for Chapman against the Astros?

Does forcing Bruce Bochy to manage this heart attack of a Rangers bullpen qualify as elder abuse

If the Phils make the World Series again while their farm has gone from bottom third in MLB to solid middle - all under Dombrowski's regime - will John Henry and Tom Werner become the laughingstock of the other owners, or are they there already? I dunno, if other owners are laughing at the guys with the biggest trophy case I might suggest a look in the mirror.

I'm sorry but this is one of the worst takes I can imagine. No ownership has won more titles than the sox since Henry and Co. Took over. Not going to say they don't have their blemishes they certainly do but laughingstock? Nope.

Guidas ought to be banished to an SB Nation Phillies Blog comments section until Dombrowski leaves his current position
