Johanfran has been enjoying some American abundance it would appear Ian and Chris Clegg mentioned on the latest pod that this could be an issue for him but were positive about the hit tool.

Either almost everyone in the video is short or their catcher is really really tall.

Meidroth starting in Worcester, Yorke starting in Portland Kinda makes sense, Meidroth could more easily be called up as a utility player, he should have some reps at AAA before that happens though.

A little surprised Yorke is starting off in AA but makes that Portland team even more must see for the first few months anyway. It feels like Yorke has been around forever but he'll still just be 22 in April, he feels like the under the radar guy maybe in the whole farm right now.

He's had a series of injuries nagging and otherwise so it's been impossible to get a solid read on him. In order not to be a blown pick he has to hit really well and not just okay.

It does feel like a big year for Yorke, I wouldn't say make or break but big none the less. If he stays healthy I think he could be in for a big year though. His OPS month to month last year: April, 18 Gs- .967 May 22 Gs- .853, June 23 Gs .705 July 14 Gs .617 Aug 22 Gs .913 Sept 11 Gs .497. By my count that's three good to excellent months, one eh decent-ish and two bad all in AA. Which added up was 110 Gs with a wRC+ of 116, which to me is pretty good for a 21 year old's first run through AA. As others have said hopefully around the time Grissom is done rehabbing at AAA Yorke has done well enough at the start of his 2nd season in AA to make the move to AAA. I still like Yorke as a prospect but he seems to me to run the risk of getting lost in the shuffle and becoming more trade bait than future Sox.

Sorry to hear this, he can mash.
Might be a break for him, though, given the crowd at that position in the Sox organization.

I predict that he will get MLB at-bats this year. I will also surely never come back to this prediction to see if I was right or not.

Looks like Christian Koss was traded to the Giants per the transaction wire. Probably for cash.

Portland is in Reading April 9-14th. Hoping to catch a couple of games. Can’t wait to see Marcelo, Teel and Anthony. Amongst others.

Apologies if this was mentioned elsewhere, but do we know why Bannon went on the 60 day IL?
