Put respect on Kristian Campbell's name. Up up up the prospect rankings. Let's go!

I'm skeptical that his GB rate will change a ton, but you kinda only need to see one 450 foot homerun to believe a guy that plays defense, runs the bases and has solid BB/K numbers is a major leaguer.

Now that is quite impressive. He is 6’3 and athletic so I’m not surprised to see some latent raw power, but if he’s really going to start getting to it that is huge. He didn’t K much at Georgia Tech, but he has K’d fairly often as a pro. Kevin Parada similarly made a lot of contact at GT but has been around 30% as a pro, so I don’t think we can assume Campbell will limit Ks that well yet, particularly if he’s swinging much harder than he used to.

Campbell, if I'm not mistaken, was drafted as an infielder but is now playing corner outfield?
Wonder if he can handle 3b?
I believe he turns 23 this July so if he gets off to a blazing start they could move him along to where he winds up in AA bu midyear with a chance if reaching the majors next year or 2026 more likely?
They could certainly use RH power and a guy who would be an improvement over Raffy at 3b. I think Cespedes could eventually be that guy but he's really young and I'd think further away? And with Campbell's exposure to the outfield perhaps he would eventually move to LF?

Honestly how many 21 year olds can hit a ball that hard/that far? It can't be a very big number.

He was playing CF in spring training apparently, but in three games so far he has DH'ed twice and played 2B once. He turns 22 in June.

Oh yeah that reminds me he was one of the youngest college players that signed in his draft class

Glad I got the age wrong, I was trying to go by memory. Guess 2026 or 2027 more likely.
