Who the heck is saying Bloom was a good GM? He was pretty mediocre, some bad some good it was time for new blood. However trashing him because he acquired 3 guys who are now on the 40 man roster at the league minimum playing for a new regime is a strange move. You want to bash him for Story and Yoshida, yea sure I can see that.

Aren’t we glad we brought in Jacques instead of Slaten in a game we still had a chance of winning Sure. He got a weak ground ball through the shift, a double play ball they weren't able to turn, and a dribbler in front of home plate. Baseball's gonna baseball.

I bet some of you didn't like Abreu running right into an out there, but if he had coaxed a run-down out of that situation they would have had a better chance of avoiding the out than if the fielder had just thrown to first. Unfortunately Abreu just didn't execute his clever scheme all that well.
ADD: It's like the announcers aren't even reading my comments here.

What’s worse right now Hamilton’s fielding, Rafaela’s hitting or Cora’s managing Fatse as the hitting coach!!!

Did he not acquire Hamilton? Story? Abreu? Valdez? Would you prefer he didn't acquire Abreu and Valdez for 2 below replacement level months of Vazquez? It's not like the alternative is some All Star; the alternative is random org guys who would be even worse.
And again, Story is injured. It makes no sense to knock a GM for signing a player that ends up getting injured.
He wasn't a guy with great splits. He never hit in Boston and has gotten worse the rare times he was healthy. He can't hit a breaking ball. The injury just compounds the issues. He had a .737 away from Coors. He had elbow inflammation in 2021. He had a similar injury in 2018. The whole question about his signing was the strength of his throwing arm and why 2B made sense for him. They knew he'd eventually need surgery on it, which he had gotten. But again, it's his bat that you can really blame more than anything. But him not being completely healthy wasn't exactly a blindsided thing.

Hot take, Chaim Bloom was not a good GM. Spending restrictions or not. He was infallible to some here. I mean there is a reason he doesn’t have a job anymore, but not sure a game today would be a reason to come to that conclusion

Here's the issue ( well, one issue). When they get behind, who is going to supply the offense when O'Neill is hurt and Raffy and Masa are slumping?

You can blame Breslow for using what he had rather acquiring new depth that was acquired by Bloom. They're playing meaningful innings. If Valdez hit .180 with solid defense that would be one thing. None of those players acquired are positives despite playing for the minimum.

What’s worse right now Hamilton’s fielding, Rafaela’s hitting or Cora’s managing Fatse as the hitting coach!!! Current issues with the lineup:
- Devers injured - O'Neill injured - Grissom injured - Story injured - team going with rookies at 2B, CF, and RF
That leaves Yoshida, Casas, Duran, and the catchers, and all but Yoshida are doing pretty great.

A loss today would bring us to 10-10.
@ Pirates this weekend it looks like the expected starters will be TBD (Quinn Priester?), Mitch Keller and... old friend Martin Perez! They avoid rookie sensation Jared Jones..
Honestly I'd happily settle for .500 (or at best like a win or two above .500) by the end of April while we wait for everyone to get healthy/return (Devers, O'Neill, Grissom, Pivetta, Whitlock). But that will require not completely collapsing on this upcoming road trip vs Pittsburgh and Cleveland
