Where did Callis say that Ranaudo would be in Boston "soon"? And where is one person still (or ever) saying that he could be an ace?

Natoli finishes with 5 for 5. How soon can we get him on Promotion Watch? Huntzinger, while he gave up two hits and a run in last night's game, is quietly building up those saves.

Almanzar with an inside the park homerun AND a triple. This boy must have changed his sneakers since I last saw him 3-4 years ago.

I'm more worried about Ranaudo's lack of a good secondary pitch than his velocity. If you click on his player page here it says "78-82 mph hammer curveball grades as plus. Tight rotation and excellent depth through the strike zone. Able to bury out of the strike zone or drop it in for a strike. Outstanding feel for his curveball. Future swing and miss pitch at major league level."
