So I'm sure there's a write up somewhere on the site and I'll look for it but what's "clicked" for Workman that made him turn the corner?

We rank Workman highly, but he had a 4.82 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and OPP BA of .292 in May.

Light activated to Greenville (and will be starting tonight), Larson called up from XST, Ortega and Taveras to Lowell.

Taveras is likely a paper move after he pitched 7.0 innings of relief last night when the game went 12 innings. Ortega may be legit considering he got lit up his last couple of outings.

Xander 2 for 2 with a 2B and 2BB so far today. He must be in a zone these last few games. Any one at the game comment on the kind of pitches he is getting? Are the pitchers challenging him? Off speed pitches? Working around him?

X- Man and Almanzar are making a very good one-two punch in Portland. I wonder why X-Man is batting second and Almanzar clean up, with Thomas, a journeyman minor leaguer, batting 3rd? Whatever,it is working and X-Man is walking more, with a much better walk to k ratio. Maybe he is in the second hole to acquire these skills? Almanzar's ratio has also improved from last year, so far.

I am not sure they follow the big league style lineup in minors as they are mostly for developing players.

I edited because I didn't believe the numbers but I think they were right... but if Mon-Sun is player of week stats (I assume they would be), there may only be one choice in the poll this week. I think these are correct.
10/19= .526 BA (7BB, 1K, 1HBP) 18/27 = .666 OBP (assuming no sac fly this week...) 22/19 = 1.158 SLG (also had 3-2B, 3HR = 12 extra bases)
So his OPS for this week currently sits at 1.824

Swihart was at .583/.706/.750 entering tonight, but went 1 for 5 with a double.

Fewer strikeouts that normal for Workman, who has usually been up at 1/IP. Nice to see that translated into efficiency. Apparently his curve was on tonight, which wasn't really a strong pitch for him before. If he keeps progressing with the curve/change, may end up a starter. Did lose some velocity later in game according to Cundall, but didn't fade completely. Interested in the full report.

Did something happen to Pat Light again? 0.1 IP ? "GreenvilleDrive ?@greenvilledrive Light leaves with an injury after throwing just three pitches in T-1st. Luis Diaz coming on in relief for the #Drive." Reportedly, he re-injured his hamstring. He should be going back on the DL to let it fully heal.
