Not to be outdone by the Boxox. Salem throws a snowman up there in the top of the 1st. And, in more important news. Keury DeLaCruz drew a walk!

Looks like a couple of our young lefties heard we drafted some competition. Cody Kukuk is done after 5. 5ip 2h 0r 0er 3 bb and 9 k's. Leaves up 1-0. Henry O thru 4 has a line of 4ip 3h 0r 0er 1bb and 3 k'S.

Nice line from Owens, with just one walk and a WHIP of 1. Pretty sure the FO would be content to have him go one level/year, but I would like to see him in the Eastern League for a few starts at the end of the year.

Haley had pitched two innings on 6/5 in the suspended game, then threw five more today. Not a true seven-inning start.

The Henry Ramos train is picking up steam. Through 11 games this month, he is hitting .394/.512/.818/1.330 4HR 11RBI 8BB 7K 3SB 0CS. It would be nice to have at least one of the Ramos, Jerez, Perkins picks produce something, and Ramos is looking like the horse to follow.
Alex Hassan has a silly line during his rehab in Greenville (in a ridiculously SSS of 18 ABs) .556/.692/.667/1.359, the fun part is the 8BB 0K. Not sure how the roster crunch will work out, but I'd like to see him back at an appropriate level soon.

Not sure how the roster crunch will work out, but I'd like to see him back at an appropriate level soon. I think the issue with Hassan is getting him back out into the outfield. He's DH'ing every other game or so - essentially a 3-3 split so far. That said, I could see him heading to Portland soon as his next step. Salem doesn't make much sense, as they probably want the OF's there getting maximum PT. You are right though - Pawtucket's outfield is already crowded with JBJ, Brentz, Hazelbaker, Maier, and to some degree Henry. I have a feeling we're going to see a Hazelbaker trade in the next couple of months if everyone gets healthy.

No immediate Margots from the DSL first two weeks. Definitely no one standing out in box score, maybe Victor Acosta. The Basabe brothers are some of the youngest players in pro-ball so if they have to spend two years in the DSL its not the end of the world. On the mound Almonte is off to a good start lets see how he does. Could be the most exciting DSL pitcher since Stolmy Pimienta.
