BTW Jose Almonte hasn't pitched since June 8th. Could it be was moved up to the GCL? may be too soon for that....Could it be he is injured....Hopefully not. Just speculation.

I've wondered the former as well. Edwar Garcia, who was piggybacking Dedgar Jimenez (who got the opening day start over Almonte), hasn't pitched since June 7 himself.

We'll see. If he is moved to the States the GCL Sox are even more interesting to follow.

Sorry if it's posted somewhere else, but where would you guys rank Denney and Ball now that they've signed?
That GCL team is going to look very interesting. Should get Buttrey going in Lowell soon too.

As for the rankings thing, let's take that to the meta forum - fun discussion, but we don't like to focus on that on the main forum.

Travis Shaw has a nice little six game hit streak going, couple of home runs in there. One tonight, paired with a walk.

Allday with two walks so far tonight. He's going to be a favorite on this forum.

Allday with two walks so far tonight. He's going to be a favorite on this forum. He had 53 walks to 23 strikeouts in college, so I expect he is going to walk in Low A ball.

Hope Ranaudo can keep on rolling Not a great game by Ranaudo. 3 Ernie's in 6ip. A couple of hr's. Glad to see they let him get up to 102 pitches. K'd 6 and walked 2. Take the training wheels off. Big guy, and isn't a kid.

I think Ranaudo threw rather well. He had only given up 3 HRs in 67 prior innings and the 2 tonight were against a going on 28 year old minor leaguer. I'll give him a pass.
I get the feeling Margot is going to have a tremendous season at Lowell and be pushing Greenville by the end of the season.
In reference to wskeleton76 Hassan has really had a pretty solid minor league career going since being drafted. He is very under the radar. Maybe not an All-Star caliber OF but he would be a solid 4th OF for a team.

I'll never understand how everyone got on me for suggesting the stratification of stats vs. prospect types might be indicative of future success, but everyone on the podcast/forum all like to mention if a hitter gets a HR vs. a pitcher with MLB experience, or a pitcher gives up a HR to a 28 year old hitter. Frankly, it kind of annoys me.
