Is it incomprehensible to trade a starter from the ML team to give opportunity to starters in Minors like what TB did last year. May be Sox can acquire a good young bat that way? Only guy who fits the profile is Doubront though. Teams would love to get him... a proven MLB starter with a bit of upside left (though I don't think he's valued at what Shields was worth.) I've been advocating that in the trade forum, but I may have come around on him recently.

Sorry I dont mean to do it now but I was thinking about RDLR, Webster and Workman in AAA and Ranaudo, Barnes in AA and think that either you have to give them the opportunity or trade some of them in the next year or so and was thinking if Sox can trade one of their starter for a young bat in the off season to move up either Webster or Workman. The current line of thinking I saw on this board is we keep Webster, make RDLR a RP or vice-versa and trade Workman. I am looking at the possibility of keeping workman while moving someone from the ML staff.
