X-man update - 0-2 with a BB, through 6 innings. Cecchini at it again, 1-2, 2BB's Linsanity and Margot both quiet for Lowell tonight, but Gragnani is 4-4 and Rondon is 2-3 with 2-run 3B Aguilera and Buttery with nice outings.

Yeah... I thought .270-.280 at AA and staying healthy would be enough to really jump Cecchini up in flashy prospect status. He wasn't going to get pitched around and keep up all those walks at the new level.
It took Xander a while to show the power, and I guess Cecchini will start to show it the longer he is at AA, but wow... he went from a guy that some liked, and some didn't see as a future starter, to another top guy in a pretty loaded system. We all thought the Boston system would be better because of the top 10 pick this year, but it's really the jump guys (Ranaudo, Cecchini) who are going to provide the bump.

Nice outing from Augilera tonight, but I'm still afraid that the Portland staff will get absolutely shelled next year.

Ignoring the obvious SSS it's still great to see recent young draftees Austin and Monge starting well.
Get down with your bad self Denney. A catcher/DH stealing home is just too awesome.

Again, just to make sure this is clear - it was on a first-and-third double steal. It's not like he's got Ellsbury speed or anything.
