I don't get Jackie trying to tag there with 1 out, Mookie scores if he's half way. It seemed strange when they showed the video. What is the correct tactic in that situation. Isn't Mookie supposed to be near second and Bradley halfway? I never had much baseball training after little league. Yea Mookie should have been on 2nd and Jackie halfway. Jackie played it like there were no outs.

Made sure to mention over and over that it was my opinion, not once did i push that opinion as fact. Duly noted for the other part though.

Over-aggressive baserunning somehow gets you labeled as lazy now? not sure how that works. That was more in the "not engaged" part that was accidentally left out. Lazy and dumb works though.

Ok nerd thx for the stats Name calling = "I give up." Lol True no sense arguing my opinion that a guy isn't engaged and is dogging it. I gave my evidence, I don't care about his TRU ZRBB baserunning numbers that ACTUALLY prove hes among the league leaders in effort given on the basepaths. That ish is not for me my man.

Would have swung at that pitch, but shoulder hurts too badly. If only he was as courageous as you are. His shoulder most likely isn't right, but he should be hitting .300 because if he had the balls you have and you were in that situation, no doubt you'd be tearing up the league. After all injuries have no impact on performance. Now you have me laughing. Hanley Ramirez apologists lmao what a world. If hes hurt then send him to the DL and lets see Sam Travis.

His very apparent lack of a give a F, like running into an out at 3rd that could have cost them the game last night. Dogging it down the line often on ground outs, getting thrown out by actual miles going for steals he has no business attempting. I don't feel the need to go on, I've formed my opinion watching him all season. But you wanted evidence, for my opinion so there it is. Poor baserunning need not equal "not giving a F." From a Dave Schoenfield article on baserunning teams in general, and the Red Sox in particular: "Key stats: 65 for 81 (80 percent) in steals, take the extra base 43 percent of the time. Some of this is a matter of opportunity, as the Red Sox have had the most baserunners of any team. Key contributors: Mookie Betts (+6.5), Jackie Bradley Jr. (+5.8), Xander Bogaerts (+5.3). These three all rank in the top 11, helping to cancel out David Ortiz (-6.6) and Dustin Pedroia (-4.2)." So Papi and Pedey "didn't give an F"? In the last 15 years who jogged to 1B more than Papi? Was he a dog too? Ok nerd thx for the stats

In general I don't, with this guy? I sure do. Based on what evidence? His very apparent lack of a give a F, like running into an out at 3rd that could have cost them the game last night. Right so every good hitter who has a bad year was just hurt. Is that the case with pitchers too? JW, I'm getting a good laugh here. If you find that funny then surely you find hilarious your apparent premise that poor performance must be effort driven. In general I don't, with this guy? I sure do.

A combo of getting older and dogging it. lol at "why isn't he hitting", IDK why isn't Miguel Cabrera hitting? its not that easy chief. Pablo Sandoval used to be able to hit, now hes a bum. These things happen. Sandoval was never the hitter Ramirez was. He had some good years very early on, but he wasn't that much of a hitter, nor did he take care of his body. Not surprising that Sandoval sucks. Plus the guy never did have any concept of the strike zone. Hanley, when he's healthy, is extremely capable of mashing as he did the second half of last season. If he's healthy, he'll hit. If he's not right, he won't. It is that easy chief. Right so every good hitter who has a bad year was just hurt. Is that the case with pitchers too? JW, I'm getting a good laugh here.

Oh right the shoulder that only flares up the second he takes the field. Yup considered that for a fraction of a millisecond and then laughed to myself while shaking my head. DOGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! The guy was hurt in 2015 and it showed in his stats, but of course it was said he dogged it. If the shoulder isn't causing any issues then why is he hitting like crap? Did he just forget to hit with the track record he has? A combo of getting older and dogging it. lol at "why isn't he hitting", IDK why isn't Miguel Cabrera hitting? its not that easy chief. Pablo Sandoval used to be able to hit, now hes a bum. Really think Ortiz was the only thing keeping Hanley engaged. Dude seems to have completely gone back to dogging it this year. Or have you considered the possibility that his shoulder isn't right and it's affecting his performance? Is that even a remote possibility or is it easier just to say he's dogging it and doesn't give a crap? Oh right the shoulder that only flares up the second he takes the field. Yup considered that for a fraction of a millisecond and then laughed to myself while shaking my head. DOGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Its actually pretty remarkable how Hanley seems to have escaped main stream criticism from the media this year. Think it has a lot to do with Moreland's success.

Man I thought this would be a game where the offense would breakout. Perfect weather and Zimmerman on the mound. Still early but feels like a continuation of the last two games.

NESN needs to ease up on these side graphics. NESN broadcast vs. Price - who had the worse night? Were still able to flip to NESN, not able to flip to a different starting pitcher though. Price's night has a long way to go too.

Price is opting out. Guy was ready to quit Vanderbilt to go work at Mickey D's after getting shelled in an intersquad game. Don't think he won't leave a bunch of money on the table to get out of a place he apparently deems "hell on earth". Doubt he'd opt out. He won't get jack in the market at this rate and nobody wants him for October. If he pitches like he did last year over the course of this next year and a half I could see him getting 4 years $80 M if not more. In total it will end up being right around what the Cards were offering initially. I dunno how anyone could expect him to stay with how hes been acting, guy is legit a crazy person.

Sanchez owns Price, and so does the Yankees. Only 5 more years. Price is opting out. Guy was ready to quit Vanderbilt to go work at Mickey D's after getting shelled in an intersquad game.
