The Jays and JRue had great games tonight. I thought Tatum was atrocious, but Jaylen balled out of his mind. Overall a very weird game, felt like they were out of rhythm on offense. Mobley is quietly having a great series on defense and seems to be everywhere. We BADLY miss The Porzingod. Al has been solid, but Kornet is getting abused. Tatum was atrocious how? He’s the one guy who rebounds consistently for this team, and he and Jrue are the only reason the Celtics weren’t down at halftime.

They made it harder than it needs to be, but a win’s a win.
Close it out Wednesday and get some extra rest.

They’re 2 good minutes away from closing this one out. Put the foot on the gas.

I’m not sure this group will ever get what it takes.

Predictably pathetic effort with Mitchell on the bench. This group just doesn’t get it.

Why is it so hard for this team to consistently show effort on defense?

When Tatum isn’t playing well offensively, it affects the rest of his game. He complains to the refs, doesn’t get back on defense, picks up frustration fouls and the like. He’s still been defending his ass off, but he HAS to get back to moving the ball and playing within the offense like he did for most of the season. He’s reverted back to old habits at the wrong time.

It would be nice if Tatum decided to show up for the playoffs. He’s settling way too much and needs to go back into attack mode.

Brad did a tremendous job putting this bench together.

Heat Culture is injuring ppl on purpose and emptying the arena before the clock hits zeros There’s a 3-minute Bam montage of him injuring Knicks players. He’s always been super dirty and never gets called out for it.

Typical response after a no show. Seen this movie the last 5 years running. Hope they changed the ending this season. This year’s team has shown a much better bounce-back ability than years past. Of course, we need to see how that translates in the playoffs, but yesterday was a good start.

There friends. Are you feeling better? Very much so. But I would feel better if they come out in Game 4 with the same intensity, lol.

We’ve seen some of these issues persist under three coaches now. At some point, it’s on the players.

Some of this shooting by Miami is luck, but this is as bad of a defensive effort as you’ll ever see when you consider who Miami has on the court. It’s not like Miami is scoring 140 tonight. The Celtics are failing to exploit matchups in the halfcourt, which has been the Achilles heel for awhile. The Celtics have been one of the best teams all season at mismatch hunting. The problem is everything tonight has been iso ball off very little movement. They’ve made things so easy for Miami tonight.

It’s almost like playing with pace leads to better shots.

This is selfish, one-on-one offense and lazy defense. Absolutely baffling.

The offense is moving in slow motion right now. They need to get into their actions faster, swing the ball, and then go downhill. Miami has zero size to contest when they do that.

I’d call it reckless; I don’t think it was dirty (which I put intent to) Yeah, looking at it again, Jrue kind of pushes him toward Tatum. It looked worse than it was. That push by Jrue was so light - Caleb had plenty of time to stop himself before undercutting Tatum.

In all honesty, the Nuggets went 3-7 to end last season, and we saw how much that meant.
All that matters is staying healthy and in shape, experimenting with some different sets and lineups, and being as sharp as possible heading into the playoffs.
(With that said, I’d love for them to win at least one of the next two games and end the season with under 20 losses.)

Embarrassing - clearly just playing not to get hurt, I guess. These games mean less than zero. Staying healthy and getting cardio are the only priorities right now. Some people constantly overreact to every loss!

The Celtics have nothing to play for, and they’re still playing hard.
I like that.

I honestly don’t think we’ve seen the best of Porzingis yet. He’s been going out of his way to play within the system, but he gives the Celtics a cheat code on offense this group has never had before.

A 6-0 run doesn’t seem like much, but that close to the 3rd quarter was big.
Charlotte’s mindset would have been so different if the deficit to start the fourth quarter was 7-9 rather than 13. It was a perfect way to close the quarter.

You can’t help but think this loss doesn’t happen if Derrick is running the offense down the stretch.
Even so, Jaylen and Jayson have got to kick this habit of walking it up late in games. There are ways to slow the game down late that still enable them to get into their action much quicker.
