Place your vote for the player that you feel had the best "comeback" season in 2013. A "comeback player" is one who you judge to have re-emerged on the baseball field or as a prospect during the past season. Please do not vote based on who you think is the best prospect or who you think may perform better in the future. This poll will close on Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 pm. All stats are cumulative for all Red Sox minor league affiliates. Nominees for Breakout Player of the Year are not eligible to be nominated in this category. Full stats are available here: www.soxprospects.com/stats/hitting.phpwww.soxprospects.com/stats/pitching.phpMichael Almanzar .268/.328/.432, 16 HR, 13 SB (Por) Drake Britton 7-7, 3.77, 1.37, 85/37, 102.2 IP (Paw/Por) Rubby De La Rosa 3-3, 4.26, 1.41, 76/48, 80.1 IP (Paw) Brian Johnson 2-6, 2.54, 1.12, 84/35, 85.0 IP (Sal/Gre) Anthony Ranaudo 11-5, 2.96, 1.14, 127/47, 140.0 IP (Paw/Por) Note: Michael Almanzar was the 2012 Comeback Player of the Year, but is nominated this year as well on the grounds of a continued comeback to prospectdom. Drake Britton was nominated for his comeback from a mediocre-to-decent 2012 season and a harrowing off-season situation, which was of his own making. Rubby De La Rosa was nominated for coming back from 2011 Tommy John Surgery and missing most of 2012. Brian Johnson was nominated for coming back from getting hit in the face by a batted ball in August 2012. Anthony Ranaudo was nominated for coming back from a subpar 2012 season. Vote as you see fit.
