I think they're borderline useless, but willing to listen. Have at it. Actual numbers or articles explaining these things more gladly accepted than bald assertions with no data behind them.

I agree. I'll go further and say that major league defensive metrics are borderline useless.

I only like them if they're based on Pitch/FX or another camera system AND only as a comparison amongst players at the same position, even then though it's a bit of a crap-shoot.
