He is only 29 and one year removed from a great year out of the bullpen. Puts up very good strike-out numbers numbers and decent walk numbers. Does't allow many home runs. Was just out-righted by the Giants and probably could be brought in on a minor league deal. A high upside, low risk, type of contract. Mijare's Stats

He's a strictly a LOOGY-type (has faced lefties on 47% of his IP over his career, which is well above the league average of about a third) with huge splits (2.72 FIP versus lefties, 4.72 versus righties) and just went unclaimed on waivers (i.e., noone wanted him even though all it would cost them is a 40-man spot). On a minor-league deal, I'd love him, but he's not really worth getting too excited about.
