Not much to see here, but for the record: - Michael Almanzar, previously ranked # 26, was picked by the Orioles in the ML Rule 5 Draft. Michael is still only 23 but but he'd been in the Red Sox system for 6 1/2 years (signed as an international free agent in July of 2007). He was ranked by SP at that time as # 21 and has been up and down in the rankings since. By late summer of '08 he was ranked # 4. Then early in the 2011 season he fell out of the top 60 altogether. A year after that, May of 2012, he got back on the list and by this past June was up to #16 again. Best of luck to Michael now that he's getting a chance to play in the MLB.
- Coyle and Kukuk, ranked behind Almanzar, moved up to 26 & 27. (I continue to hope that Cody will become the 11th player in MLB history in this special category!)
- New to the rankings this week at # 28 is Dalier Hinojosa, the 27 year old RHP from Cuba signed by the Sox in October.
Only about 2 months until spring training!
Edit: typo & clarity

Edit: typo & clarity Wouldn't Fernando Salas be a part of that category as well?

Yup, good find. This is vastly under-appreciated MLB stat. :-)
