Hey does anyone know what date we can expect the Sox to assign new jersey numbers for this coming year? I know it should be coming up since last year it was announced around this time. Any guesses on who wears what? I'm guessing Bogie takes 23 or 24. We'll see.

Whoever updates the Red Sox' roster on the Wikipedia has them giving Pierzynski #40 and Mujica #54, as well as Bogaerts' snagging of Ellsbury's old number. No assignments yet for the rookies nor for Badenhop, Herrera or Sizemore (who might get #24, out of circ since Saito wore it in 2009). The link |

Don't bet more than one months mortgage money on this. I remember right after the dissolution of the USSR we all said "the Red Sox always win the WS whenever Russia has. Revolution."  ? |
