I'm sorry, but there is nothing more tiresome than when I hear the complaint "The announcer is rooting for the other team!" I'm sure Cardinals fans felt the same way with how McCarver went on about Ortiz, Lester, and especially Pedroia. The guy clearly has a man-crush on ol' Dustin. People get used to watching games from the home team perspective. Even when an announcer isn't obviously a homer, he knows he's calling the game from the perspective of one team. Going from that to national telecasts can be jarring.

What series were you watching? I'll be the first to admit I just don't really care for McCarver or his "analysis" nor do I like Buck-- but his man love for one Pedroia did not negate his infatuation with his former team, to this viewer at least. I think you're dead wrong.
We can agree to disagree.

I have no problems with Joe Buck. Maybe because I like his voice to call a game. I don't really get all the disdain for any announcers other then Joe Morgan.
