I know that this is a glorified exhibition game, but tough draw in Bauer.

I know that this is a glorified exhibition game, but tough draw in Bauer. I personally don't think it's an exhibition. I thought it was the AAA National Championship game

I thought it was the AAA National Championship game It's something that only started in 2006 and doesn't really mean much. It was originally called the "Bricktown Showdown" for a few years before they changed the name to try to make it mean something.

Figueroa. Tough draw. Not Stewart.
The script reads: reward a 38-year old newcomer to the org, and release him in 2 weeks. Makes no sense to me.
Unless Figueroa is part of the plan for 2013.

Figueroa has been unhittable lately. At this point, you're trying to win.

Figueroa has been unhittable lately. At this point, you're trying to win. Right, and there's nothing wrong with trying to win. After all, that's the object of the game. But in the larger scheme of things, even the larger baseball scheme of things, this one-game idea is rather silly. There's no way that anyone in their right mind thinks that a 1-game series in the sport of baseball "proves" or "settles" anything, when starting pitching, operating on a multi-player rotating basis, is such an important part of the sport. It's tough enough to draw any definitive conclusions from the results of a 5 or 7-game series, but at least the teams have a greater chance to demonstrate what they are. Similarly, the new 1-game playoff between the two wild cards in each league is equally silly. It decides something, but it proves (and thus, in an existential sense, means) nothing.

But I like the 1-game playoff for the wild card teams because it makes winning your division much more important.

He did great work in game three vs Charlotte, showing great pose and control after working around some trouble thanks to a Valencia error that put runners in scoring position with no outs
