Xander Bogaerts, top prospect since July 2012, is graduating on Friday. Who do you all think should be the top prospect now? I've listed the next nine on the SoxProspects rankings, but if you want to vote for other, feel free to post your choice.
Also, polls are no fun without discussion. Tell us why!
Edit: Sorry for anyone who just tried to vote in the last couple minutes. I set it incorrectly, but it should work now.

It's Mookie for me. The increasing likelihood that Cecchini will never hit for above-average power combined with Owens' lack of either elite raw stuff or above-average command limits their ceilings, while I'd like to see a longer stretch of elite offensive production from Swihart as well as better production versus RHP. Mookie seems to both have a really high floor (second-division starting 2B) but also superstar potential. He's got both tools and production, is incredibly age-advanced, and has a badass name. It's all there.
My personal top 5: 1. Mookie 2. Owens 3. Swihart 4. Cecchini 5. De La Rosa (he's still a prospect in my eyes); Barnes if you want to go with the technically eligible guys

1) Brentz 2) Workman 3) Owens 4) Cecchini
Brentz is the one that will produce the longest at the MLB level

My problem with Swithart is his low walk totals. I understand it's hard to draw conclusions off that, but it's something I'm keeping a watch on. Hard to argue with it when he's hitting so well.

toss up between Swihart and Betts, both have a chance to be elite.

In the midst of Mookiemania, we have this decision? Every time I see what Swihart is doing I get more interested; Owens, I think, is boom or bust; Cecchini isn't going away; I love Workman's workmanlikeness; I'm not a Ranaudo fan; and the others I just don't know. For now it's hard to argue with the degree of dominance and I guess I'll vote Mookie. Also because his name is Mookie Betts.

1. Betts 2-4. Some mix of Owens, Swihart, Cecchini. I literally can't decide. 5. Webster/Barnes/Marrero (another toss up)

1) Mookie Betts (No doubt. Even before the season he was my number 2 after X-man.) 2) Henry Owens 3) Blake Swihart 4) Christian Vazquez (Love def wizard at the premium position.) 5) Allen Webster (I would go with De La Rosa here if he were eligible.)

It's got to be Mookie. He leads his league in virtually every category. Everyone else is number 2. He'll be in Pawtucket by the end of the month. In Boston by the end of the year.

Mookie is basically 2 years from being Rule 5 eligible and doesn't turn 22 until he's playing in this years World Series.
1. Mookie 2. Cecchini 3. Swithart 4. Ruby ( I'm with Jmei) 5. Owens 6. Webster 7. Vasquez
I went to 6 and 7 because Ruby isn't eligible and I wanted Vasquez to be seen. He's too low on lists. His bat is the biggest question and he's hitting again so far in AAA. What's he got to do? At this point he's a guaranteed effective major leaguer with big upside. Yes big. We all know the defensive ceiling is huge so that alone gives him good upside and he's shown the ability to hit some. Enough that it wouldn't be a shock for him to hit .270-.300 with so,I'd added discipline boosting his OBP. At this point his approach is a lot more advanced than Swithart.

Mookie is just doing to much to not be #1, just keep expecting him to cool off, and if anything, he gets hotter.
1 - Betts 2 - Owens 3 - Swihart 4 - Cecchini 5 - Barnes/RDLR

Mookie seems to be the obvious choice with the start he has had. But to some extent this can be attributed to right place right time. Xander graduates at the exact moment Betts is extremely hot. Additionally Owens just came off one of his worst starts of his minor league career. If Owens throws two straight high quality starts and Betts cools down a little I don't think this is as clear cut. Easy to be prisoner of the moment. This does of course require believing Betrs is only human which I'm still trying to verify. Ultimately though I have no problem with these rankings.
I do think at this point Cecchini can't be much higher than 4 or 5 though. Jmei is correct in his concerns for the power. If Cecchini is mostly a singles and walk guy with a handful of doubles and average defense I can't see him over Betts, Owens, Swihart, Barnes and maybe even an argument for Vazquez. Starting to seem like a high floor low/medium ceiling prospect. A good one no doubt though who has value to a Major League club. Still early so I want to see how he progresses particularly as the weather warms to see if his xbh production increases and reaccess at year end.
