Not that it is surprising..
@jjcoop36: Feel confident it's LSU's Aaron Nola to Phillies here. Multiple sources expect to see it go that way.

After Nola is presumably picked by PHI, COL could go Freeland, Zimmer or Turner.
Edit: or Newcomb

There is some scuttlebutt that CHC will look to trade hitting prospects for pitching (Ben? It's Theo. ...) Link? and they would not want any of our pitchers outisde of lester The mlb.com guys just suggested it when discussing the Cubs' pick of another hitter.

I think Aaron Nola works for the draft position and talent at 7 but it must stink to have such a lack luster major league squad, shallow farm system and desire to have a winning product on the field for their upcoming TV negotiations. Not that it's accidental. Amaro has dug his own ditch.

@keithlaw: Rockies back to Evansville LHP Kyle Freeland, whom I had them taking in earlier mocks. Very good slider, small chance he ends up in relief.

Two sources have said Freeland will be COL's pick.

Gordon to MINN, as expected. Jackson should be SEA's pick, then Nola to PHI.
You're really good at this.

#Cubs Jason McLeod says Schwarber was No. 2 on their list behind Aiken, whom Astros took 1st overall

This part is easy. Once we get to MIL at 12, it will be a free-for-all.

So much for Kyle Freeland sliding to our pick. Thats why these mocks are useless in this day and age.

TOR should pick Turner, NYM will choose between Newcomb and Conforto (Turner if TOR doesn't take him) and TOR will then pick between Hoffman and Toussaint.
Then, the fun begins.

For the next four picks my mantra will be "no Hoffman, no Hoffman, no Hoffman, no Hoffman,"
Dream big right?

Outside of 2005, McLeod's drafts with the Red Sox were vastly overrated/underwhelming.

@jjcoop36: Scratch that hearing Hoffman for Jays. They have 2 of next three picks, so can get a little creative here.

I am hoping some teams pick Fisher, Reed and Blandino before the #26 pick.

keithlaw ?@keithlaw 33s Jays pop ECU righty Jeff Hoffman, who had TJ surgery last month, here. Then Mets take Oregon State Michael Conforto.

Toronto's 11th pick is protected right?

Toronto's 11th pick is protected right? No, if the person doesn't sign, TOR does not get another pick. TOR probably made a deal with Hoffman.

Jack Zduriencik says on 710 ESPN that once Alex Jackson signs, he'll likely begin in outfield first.
