Gunkel versus Stankiewicz is so close that I had to read the game logs.
Each guy gave up a fly ball double. They each allowed two line drives, but Gunkel had better luck, giving up 0 hits versus Teddy's 1. Teddy's other hit allowed was a grounder.
They each had 6 K's, but four of Gunkel's were looking, while all of Teddy's were swinging.
Gunkel allowed a walk, and threw a wild pitch. He was helped by two CS, and still went an inning less long.
So, actually, a pretty clear call for the guy whose last name I've been avoiding typing!

So if Steven Wright had another game this week and went 5.0 IP 5 H 1 BB 1 K then he would have the same stats as Brian Johnson ...
... why on earth does Johnson have more votes than Wright?

It's impressive to do it over 2 games and twelve innings. I often vote for the guy who pitched 2 games even if his stats weren't as good. That wasn't my play this time though; Stankiewicz was too good.

Johnson named EL POTW. Stankiewicz named Sally POTW.

Yea I'm going with Johnson because of the two game sample size (no fault to the other contenders). Stankiewicz would have been my pick otherwise.
Love to see the names on this list, especially Smith. Dominate performances to keep Owens off the list.
