The Lowell Spinners will be retiring Ryan's number 25 on Wednesday June 25 during which Ryan and his family will be in attendance. I recall seeing Ryan play a number of times in Lowell and he had all the talent in the world and there was no doubt that he was going to make it to the majors and be successful. We all know Ryan's story and this would be a good opportunity to salute Ryan and his family. www.milb.com/promotions/index.jsp?sid=t558edit-corrected date.

Paydro, thank you for posting this. Looks like from that link its next Wed the 25th for Ryan's night. More than his potential, his return attempt was one of the most inspiring things I've ever seen in professional sports.

I am happy he has his health. He is a tough nut he was coming back the first time. I wonder if he would of been the starting RF this year for the Sox. Can you imagine Xander and Ryan on the Sox?

I've had this in the back of my head for a while now and this seems like a good time to mention it, I think they should have him talk to recent signees and tell them his story. Maybe, and I do mean maybe, somebody like a Jon Denney can learn to appreciate the opportunity he has that he's wasting from somebody who would give just about anything for that exact same opportunity.
