Post Counts and "New Members"

I know I hit 1,000 posts at some point. I'm under that now. Huh?

Also, is there supposed to be a system which classifies members according to some combination of post total and length of service? Because, of course, everyone here who isn't a mod is a "New Member." I suppose from a cosmological point of view, that's true.
