Not enough at bats for Welch to be considered over Marrero. If that's the case, or the 30-3 majority opinion, then why include him as an option? Given that he is an option, it's pretty hard to vote for anyone else when looking at the other numbers. I love Marrero, but he's going to get a lot of love along the way. Why not give Welch some credit where credit is due to a guy who may never have another week like the last one, and may simply not be able to overcome starting out down under?

Welch has won Player of the Week before. On a separate note: Marrero won EL POTW.

I have no problem with the case for Marrero. I just figured that if .500/.600/.1.250 was in the poll it was a choice worthy of consideration.

I'm just stating why I didn't pick Welch, not that he didn't belong on the list for everyone else to consider.
