Low, hard, accurate throw. 9th OF assist for JBJ.

I'm not sure why pitcher shot clocks aren't a thing. (Actually, I do know. Because Selig is a dinosaur.) Give us all of that and a uniform strike zone (Chip in ball, Qwest tech, whatever isnt subject to um's whims) and you'll have quicker games with more offense and excitement. All things to consider once we have a commissioner who knows how to use email.

Not long before no one runs on JBJ. 9 assists, I bet he gets 2 in 2nd half.

Low, hard, accurate throw. 9th OF assist for JBJ. And this is exactly why you root so hard for this kid to even hit .240. Makes a difference out there in CF.

I think teams should keep testing JBJ's arm. Especially with guys who are like 47 years old.

Low, hard, accurate throw. 9th OF assist for JBJ. That wasn't Ellsbury's arm, for certain.

I've been very vocal about how I feel about JBJ as a hitter: I don't think he will ever be a very good one. However, I've said all along that his defense is so good that it is well worth it to have him in the 9 spot every day. Kid is a difference maker in the OF.

I definitely think he'll be at least an average MLB hitter.

I think he'll get the job done at the dish eventually, but he just swung when the ball was in the mitt, holy mother that was late.

Can't believe the Yankees gave Thornton 7 million over two years. kudos to his agent. Thornton was awful last year.

my defensive replacement would have been Boegarts pinch-run for Nava. Boegarts to 3B Holt to LF
Then again, maybe I over-estimate Xander at third and Holt in Left.

You don't overestimate Holt anywhere. He's gonna win 2, maybe 3 gold gloves this year.

Can we go 8-2 on the 10gm homestand? Cubs 3, O's 3 and 4 with ChiSox. Not even sure we'll be able to hit Arrieta tomorrow night. He's throwing pretty well. And, we have Peavy going.

The AL East really isn't very good. If by some miracle this offense stays put and they pull off a good homestand into the AS break, we may actually see competitive baseball in the 2nd half.
But if the offense flutters away again, we should have a very good idea that the Sox will be "sellers" after the break

Don't look now but Mookie has passed Superman in BA and OBP.

I believe Bradley will be a good hitter, maybe not this year, but he should start to come around by next year. He just needs to see MLB pitching in order to learn how to hit the inside pitches.
