Ken Rosenthal ?@ken_Rosenthal 1m Betts not in lineup for #RedSox tonight against #Yankees' Tanaka. Will start in RF tomorrow; working at that spot today in early work at YS. Well, Brock Holt is unlikely to be sitting, so either Xander is getting a day off, or he's back at SS and Drew is on the bench. Hard to know what they have in mind long-term here. Either JBJ or Nava will sit. Probably the former.

Did anyone else hear Buck ask Reynolds about Betts, and Harold completely dodged the question claiming it was a "curveball," and proceeded to talk about being excited to see Lester vs. Jeter?

Typical Reynolds for "Who the f^9k is Betts? Reynolds is a Moron. Why MLB keeps is beyond reason. Must be one of those rainbow warriors.

Reynolds trying to enrage you further... shot of Nava, JBJ, Holt, "Everyone's kind of out of position... Holt's an infielder and, uh ... "

A) Drew hit about a .150 in his first month last year without Spring Training (concussion for much of it). He hit ~270 with pop the remainder of the year...to go along with his steady defense. Give him time.
B) David Ross off a righty? Bizarro world.

Watching baseball on FOX always frustrates me because they don't show the pitch zone very often. I get used to NESN camera angles and then go back 30 years watching it on FOX. I like to see the strike zones each pitcher gets in as much detail as possible. Drew looks like he could use a day off.

At this point it's hard to argue that a combo of Boegarts and Holt at ss/3b wouldn't be immeasurably better. So far, this signing couldn't have gone any worse.

Now we have mookie, so I guess it's better to put him in the of. But without mookie it really doesn't matter. Your basically choosing between Gomes against a rhp or drew, so I take the lhh and defense.

They give everyone HR's interpretation instead. Probably the exec's feel that is more knowledge inferred to the viewer's?
On another note.. How quick were those 2 challenges! Both were half a minute or less! The pedey one to take away the Napoli out call at 1b perhaps?

They were both pretty clear cut. Good angles. Way it should be.
What i don't understand is how every team doesn't have an overhead veiew of hone plate.. Only broadcast I see have it is the Yankees. Love that view, both on strike/ball calls and plays at the plate.

Heard on MLB Tonight ?@heardonmlbt 4m "There was times he would have expanded the zone to drive in a run, but he might have said, 'Forget it, I want my OPS higher'." - Reynolds
I mean... Really?
