Andres Torres just hit his third home run as a member of the Paw Sox. He currently has a .306 batting average, which would definitely be better than every outfielder except Brock Holt. Mookie needs more time in the minors.

I feel like his utility declines with every Red Sox loss. What point is there in Andres Torres on a last place team except to come up and hit well and then be traded?
What is Mookie doing so poorly at the MLB level that he should be shuttled back to Pawtucket?

Andres Torres could be part of the "big 3-week push" to make 2014 relevant. For the delusional among us.
If he fails, he is released. If he's a success but the Sox fail, minor trade. Same deal with Ely. And maybe Roberts.

I'm not worried what so ever about his offense (the kid looks in total control in his ABs) but his defense need some refining and I would like to see what Nava and Holt have there by giving them a big chunk of PAs (for trade purpose mostly)

No, Mookie needs more at bats. So do Bradley, Bogaerts and Holt. There must be some sort of stricture against playing more than three rookies at a time. Or the team needs to keep promises to guys who were part of last year's team, at least until the dam breaks and them move them. Because it's time. In the case of Carp, it was probably time at the beginning of the year, before the regression monster ate his bat. They need to suck it up, counsel the kids about the media, then put blinders and earplugs in and just play them. De La Rosa, and later Webster, along with Vazquez, all of them need some time. What better year than this one?
Stealing at bats to give them to Torres is a loser's game, the same game they're playing right now.
