Jesus, Stanton is insane. A Bautista/Stanton final would be a beautiful thing.

Jesus, Stanton is insane. A Bautista/Stanton final would be a beautiful thing. I really can't see any other possibility. I had Stanton originally but Im changing to Bautista. Can we just see a rounds of these two.

THis new format is a joke.... Go back to the old format Saw a better suggestion. 4 batters, 10 outs each. Do only one round, and then play the futures game.

Is John Farrell stupid for batting the worst hitter leadoff, or is he smart for batting the worst fielder leadoff so he can potentially take him out sooner? Discuss.

Smart for realizing this is an exhibition game and that Jeter is the player the paying customers want to see exhibited.

Trout took a crappy route no that Lucroy double. He looked like Gomes.

How is Cano the best in the business with respect to relay throws Harold? It was quite obvious from the replay that he was going through the motions like he usually does in the field. Reynolds is worse that Joe Morgan ever was.

Jeff Passan ?@jeffpassan 11s Adam Wainwright admitted he grooved a fastball to Derek Jeter in the first: “I was gonna give him a couple pipe shots. He deserved it."

It's going to be great next year when Fox has to continue to find ways to talk about Jeter all the time after his retirement.
By the way, great marketing effort, MLB. "Hey kids, this 87 year old mediocre-to-bad shortstop who's heyday was back when you were still in diapers learning to discern shapes and colors represents everything good about the game and now he's gone. Don't you love this sport?".
Jeter is one of the greats, but he's not bigger than the game itself. Which is how he was treated last night.

It's going to be great next year when Fox has to continue to find ways to talk about Jeter all the time after his retirement. The first batter hit an infield single to shortstop. I desperately wanted to overlay video of every other major league SS making the play on similar balls. I don't know how to do that and I don't actually know if it's true, but in my heart I'm with Andrew McCutchen, laughing and pointing at Jeter, all in good fun.

Is there a way on Twitter to exclude tweets that include the names Wainwright and Jeter?

I can't be the only one who was hoping to see Miguel Cabrera physically steal the MVP award from Mike Trout, am I? You know, to keep this going for awhile. Someone back me up. Just grab that bat and speed off in the Vette.
