If Ranaudo throws 8 shutout innings, he'll be leading the International League in ERA. (currently in 2nd) If Johnson throws 8 decent innings, he'll be leading the Eastern League in ERA. (needs 8 innings to qualify)

Kopech got hit around a little bit in his brief outing: 1.1 IP, 4H, 3ER, 2BB, 2K. #bust LXB with two more assists today, so far.

3 OFA for Alexander today, 2 at first one at home. I was thinking the same but box only shows one outfield assist at first game. Still amazing 4 in 3 games. 2 were at home, two were double plays at first base. Playing RF today, he's usually a center fielder. Devers 2/4 Chavis 2/3 2B Moore 2/2 3B Miller 2/4 BB relievers 7.2 0 runs

Ill be heading down to New Britian to catch the Sea Dogs game tonight. I'll try and take a video or two, but I'll be pretty angry if Swihart has the day off...

Our pitchers off to outstanding starts across all levels playing right now. Ranaudo's involves more zeroes.

Cody Kukuk with another dominate outing so far: 5IP, 2H 0ER 1BB 7K. He has struck-out Rangers' top prospects Jorge Alfaro and Nick Williams twice a piece.
Edit: make that 6IP 2H 0ER 1BB 10K for Kukuk
Last three outings: 16IP 10H 1ER 4BB 22K. Solid.

I'd love to see a story about Kukuk tweaking his delivery or making a small mechanical change. When he can control his stuff, he's a premium prospect - it just only happens about 10% of the time. But three starts in a row - especially the last two - look really encouraging.
Last three starts:
16 IP, 10 H, 1 ER, 5 BB, 22 K

Mauricio Dubon has the lowest K% of qualified players currently in the NY-Penn league.
(The only qualified player with a lower rate is a 24 year old that was promoted)

Johnson likely done just before qualifying for the EL ERA league lead (he's 2/3 of an inning shy). 99 pitches thru 7. Walked 2 and struck out 2 in the 7th. First double digit K game for him, now has 12Ks and 3BB to go along with the 2H and 0R.

Ranaudo done .01 shy of leading the IL in ERA with 2.41. 6IP 3H 0R 2BB 4K 98/60 4/4 GO/FO. Not effricient but effective. Britton in relief, perfect so far.
Johnson was done after 7. Noe in relief, perfect so far.
Mookie 4/4 with 2B, BB. Travis Shaw continues to roll 2/5 with 2 2B. Lavarnway got the start at C.
Portland won 1-0. Swihart 3/4, Coyle 1/2 2B BB
Salem won 6-0, Asuaje picked up where he left off in Greenville now hitting .304. 2/4 BB, 3B.
Greenville lost but Rijo 1/2 HR 2BB.
Lowell won 7/4 Monge 3/5, Jordan Betts 2/4 2B, HR, 5 RBI now hitting .302.

Mike Antonellis ?@seadogsradio 1h
Johnson has a 2.13 ERA in Double-A, has made 11 of 15 starts on the road…1 ER in his last 20 IP since 7 ER on 7/7 at Binghamton.
Venezuelan Isaias Lucena a catcher on the DSL Sox, has a .333/.446/.452/.898 slash line. Jhonathan Diaz, the all-star starter is now sporting a 1.55 ERA. 46.1 IP, 37K, 11BB, 1.41 GO/FO ratio. Maybe he'll follow US Basabe to the GCL, which is unusual.

Anyone know why Lavarnway was apparently pulled in the middle of an AB?
Such things are concerning for ...thelavarnwayguy!

Swihart 3 for 4 with a SB and catches a 1 hitter with 13 strikeouts. I like his trend lines recently. Does he smell a promotion?
It's real encouraging to see some solid talent down in low A ball now also. Looks like another decent crop.
Wow, Luis Alexander Basabe had 11 triples in 148 AB in the DSL. Only 7 doubles, zero HR. The guy must have some wheels.
