Is Buchholz pitching himself out of the team? Could we at least wait until the Yankees score some runs before writing Buchholz's obituary? I realize that there are liberties taken in the gameday threads, but the hyperbole around here can be rather overdramatic at times.

Why didn't he throw home? A headcase. This guy has a rat trapped in his head.

He's been awful for a while with very few quality starts, the question is important if he can't turn things around. I wonder if we have a sports mental coach working with him.

He also pitched the best game of the year last month. Everything is not mental.

That he did, but he has followed that effort pitching horrid games. I know everything isn't mental, but I do wonder about that aspect of him.

Is this guy, the worst pitcher on the staff? Probably. Only Webster can rival the infuriating nature of Buchholz's starts, but at least he has such filthy movement and potential that you want to give him a chance to iron out the kinks. Buchholz looks like he has no confidence, no command, and the stuff isn't that impressive anymore, either. We keep hearing that he's healthy like that's a good thing, but to me, it's just scary.

Honestly, look at his career. Looked like he was having a breakout season in 2010 and got hurt. Couldn't finish it. No biggie. Appeared to be coming. 2011 - Hurt much earlier and couldn't come back when we needed him. 2012 - Stunk. Along with most of the team. 2013 - Off to a brilliant start but couldn't pitch the last 3-4 months. See a pattern forming yet? 2014 - Pathetic when we could have really used him. I don't even want him on the team next year.

Is this guy, the worst pitcher on the staff? No! He is injured. Either a knotted muscle or a tear or whatever is messed up in that shoulder. He can not slot his arm properly which means he can not command pitches. The sox need to do him a favor and get this fixed.

We heard about how Cespedes doesn't walk much, but he puts together good ABs from what we've seen so far. Seems to have a plan, rather than whacking at the first thing he can reach.
