It's likely that Keith Couch will come of the DL today and make the start for Portland.

GCL scored ten runs in the first two innings, without Devers in the lineup.

Through 86 ABs, Jordan Austin has struck out 43 times (50 percent K rate). Ouch.

Couch got the start for Portland. GCL was suspended. Salem doubleheader postponed. . . Mike Antonellis ?@seadogsradio 17m Pawtucket’s entire lineup and pitcher are former Sea Dogs…very cool
LOL, remember when our group of nattering nabobs of negativity were trolling our farms in general ?? ?? . . Mars and Margot have triples early. No no-no for Barnes. . . Danny Mars ?@dmars22 4h It is more than an honor to be named to the New York Penn League all star team. Blessed with great opportunities!

And Margot is now 2-2 with a 3B and a HR! Killing it!
Edit: He is now 17-31 over his last 8 games (including tonight). He has two doubles, a triple, and two home runs in that stretch.

Margot is on fire and Mars looks like he might be a prospect.

Spinners lost 3-2. Good day for All-Stars Mars 2/5 3B and Dubon 3/4. Margot Ked in his 3rd AB. Couch lowered his ERA to sub 3.00 Portland now tied 6-6 bottom of the ninth. I think that was Noe's first blown save. Portland doing a good job of clustering hits. 8 different batters share the 9 hits and 1 walk. (Only XBT, Wilkerson and Blair's doubles. PawSox down 2-0 in the 6th. Both pitchers with four hitters so far but Beck's is better. Barnes gave up a leadoff HR and a things happen run. Unless they go into extras, no cycle for Manuel. 2/4 with only one AB likely. Drive up 5-4 6th.Mager 2-2 with a BB. The lights appear to be dimming on the Buttrey Christmas tree. Tim Roberson, first base, with his 2nd HR of the game (5th & 6th) (Sam Travis with the night off). Drive now up 7-5. PawSox ?@pawsox 6m At the stretch, the PawSox trail 2-0. Matt Barnes final line, 6 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 4 K on 105 pitches/64 strikes Indirectly related: Breaking News ?@breakingnews 14m JetBlue flight to New York aborts takeoff, evacuates at Puerto Rico airport after reported engine fire - @abc7ny 7ny.tv/1rcfUmAPortland: Each team scored a run in the 10th, 7-7 heading to the 11th. Might have been Scott's first blown save. PawSox with 2 stuff happens runs of their own. Villarreal must be off the DL, he's pitching now. 2-2 bottom of the 8th. Portland tired of watching their relievers blow saves (unusual, they've had outstanding relief all year) scores 5 in the top of the 11th, highlighted by an Almanzar grand slam. He's making a very solid case for 40 man inclusion. Portland won 12-7. For both Ramirez and Scott, it was their 2nd blown save of the year. PawSox up 4-2 in the ninth off a 2 run HR by Brentz. Drive won 6-4. 4.1 shutout relief innings for Miles Smith. PawSox won 5-2. Cecchini 3/5 2B. Mookie 1/4 2B,BB,SB

Barnes with a so-so night I see.
I was hoping for another gem, so he could end the year off on a high note and push for a spot. Still has to improve.

After a slow start following his DL & return to our system, Almanzar up to .262/.333/.416/.749. His 39 hits include 11 doubles and 4 HRs. Maybe this is finally the Almanzar we've been waiting for. Hope springs eternal and this one certainly qualifies for eternal. That being said, someone plz show him where the front of his head is:

That being said, someone plz show him where the front of his head is: Should he get off your lawn while he's at it? Imagine the stat lines if he didn't have to deal with an unbalanced upper end. You really don't want to see any of our prospects on my lawn during the season, do you ?

I certainly wouldn't include in his season line his 3/25, 3 2B, 1 BB, 1 HBP (.120 / .185 / .240) performance rehabbing in the GCL and high-A. They're rehab games for a reason. Especially since he's hit .295 / .368 / .473 in AA (and 8 PA in AAA).

For the last 2 or 3 weeks he's looked great in the batters box. I'm guessing that if you broke his AA and AAA AB's you'd find his stats and peripherals to be inclining, not flat lining. That's getting pretty SSS though.
