Some of the Ground Rules are applied loosely in here, as we understand that there is a tendency to want to react (or overreact) to every play of a Sox game with one line reactionary posts. The 6 games left against the Yankees are the only ones I see left as important. I root for the Sox every game, but I don't find myself disappointed when they lose these days because of the potential draft pick. These are games though that I really want us to win. Go Sox!

Per Sean McAdam, Dan Butler has been called up from Pawtucket for tonight, joining Ranaudo at the toilet.

and where is Webster? bullpen? or 6-man rotation?
And Butler is better on the bench than in AAA playoffs? Swihart going to catch each of the possibly 5 games? What is the 5-man rotation for PawSox? Verdugo is in it now?

I believe Farrell said that plan going forward is a 6-man rotation until the next offday (9/15), and then reevaluate from there.

Let's put the Yankees out of their misery. Nobody wants to go to their games, and they'e one and done if they sneak in.

SSS (93 AB's), but Mookie is 2nd on the team in SLG behind Papi at .473
ADD: Man have I been dying to see Bogaerts re-claim his swagger at the plate, it was so much fun watching him through the start of June. Even with all these young kids coming up for the end of the season, Bogaerts performance is the most important to me.

Can't wait for the Mookie-Castillo-Cespedes outfied. Can't. Freakin. Wait. I figure that the probability that that OF configuration is together for any significant amount of time (say, at least the majority of one season) is 0.3 or less.
