Salem still 1-0 after 6, Dahlstrnd has been impressive. Romanski is moving the mitt all over the zone and he's hitting it. Isn't affraid to throw inside to lefties and righties heve been late on the FB several times. He's also frozen the hitters several times.
On the other side of the coin, the SalSox haven't exactly been hitting bullets either.

Mets reliever Hansel Robles had recorded 4 straight Ks (Roof, Miller, Coyle, KDLC) before Carson Blair's 2-out single in the t-8th. Portland leaves him there. On to the b-8th with Robby Scott in relief of Johnson.
Final line: 7.0 IP - 6 H - 2 R - 2 ER - 1 BB - 8 Ks 96/64 P/S

Matt Huegel ?@matthuegelsp 7m Hassan hit on the arm, looks like elbow area. Seems to be in a lot of pain, but staying in for now.
PawSox ?@pawsox 48s RF Alex Hassan removed from the game after being HBP in left shoulder. Corey Brown in to PR and will stay in and play RF.

Thru 7 still 1-0 Dahlstrand 7IP 2H 0BB 8K. Box doesn't give pitch counts but it isn't a lot. The two hits were back to back singles on the first pitch.

Mets clawing back. Another run on a pair of doubles. 5-3, b-8th, still just 1 out.
EDIT - After a walk that'll be it for Scott. Noe on to prevent further damage, but a run scores on a Coyle throwing error. 5-4 Portland, 1st & 3rd, 1 out, b-8th.

Matt's live tweets on Escobar have been outstanding and well-detailed -- and really encouraging as well. 7 IP, 0 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 6 K, 80 P, 56 Str

Escobar and Dahlstrand both sail through the 7th. Escobar with only 80 pitches - probably out to pitch the 8th when it arrives. Dahlstrand maybe more uncertain -- don't know his pitch count and he hasn't been a starter that long.

Matt Huegel ?@matthuegelsp now Escobar now through 8 scoreless with just 87 pitches. Has had some contact right at guys, but can't argue with results. Still 1-0, PawSox.

Welch with a leadoff walk, gets to 3rd on a 2-out single by Roof, but Miller whiffs & strands him. On to the b-9th.

Pelicans' SS De Leon is only 17
Pelicans have tied it. 2 out HR.
Argument on the field, Sox think a swing and miss, first base umpire overuled home plate umpire. Pelicans now have runners on 1st and 2nd instead of being out of the inning.
Martin got out of the jam 1-1 after 8. Lets see if Margot can end it.

Matt's live tweets on Escobar have been outstanding and well-detailed -- and really encouraging as well. 7 IP, 0 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 6 K, 80 P, 56 Str And 7 to get through the 8th. I imagine he tries to finish it out. The Salem update has locked up on me. Any updates? - I notice Younginer was listed to pitch the 8th. OUCH -- 2-out HR to tie both the Pawsox and Salem games. Going from 3 leads to 0 in a hurry.

First Johnson, then Dahlstrand.
And now the third of three stellar pitching performances will go without a win tonight, as Escobar gives up a tying solo shot in the t-9th. Hembree on.
Unreal.
The next mainstream media asshat who defends pitcher wins as a valid statistic needs to be publicly drawn and quartered.

Margot struck out, big rip but was out front of a curve. On to the bottom of the 9th.
All three games are tied and looking like extras. nm
Bonus baseball in Salem and Pawtucket.
Romanski with a 2 run HR. Arguments on the field fair or foul, called fair, umps meeting. Call stands, Pellican's manager ejected (again if anybody saw the replays of the manager last week, he's the one that took off his uni top before he left). LOL, he's now picked up 3B bag and threw it into the stands. He's totally lost it.
Being fair, as soon as it went over the fence, the left fielder came running in, definitely thought it was foul. Can't tell by the TV shot. This one's going to boil for a while.

All 3 runs yielded by Noe were unearned thanks to a Mike Miller E-5, but in 11.2 IP over his last 10 games (dating back to Aug 5) opponents are hitting .318/.373/.523/.896 against him in 52 PA.

Walk off victory for the PawSox! Brentz doubles off old pal MDC, takes 3rd on a wild pitch, and scores on a Cecchini single.

Both Noe and Scott had a significant drop in effectiveness over the past few weeks. Argument over. 3-1 Salem going into the bottom of the tenth.

Evan Lepler ?@evanlepler 3m Wow... Unbelievable sequence... Jake Romanski's low line drive clears the wall in left... Ruled fair... Two run-homer...
Evan Lepler ?@evanlepler 2m Pelicans did not see it that way... Almost everyone on the field and off was screaming at all four umpires... Many ejected... Salem up 3-1..

So that's three masterful starting pitching performances, three blown leads, one crushing walkoff loss, one joyously rescued walkoff win, and a victory snatched back from the jaws of defeat at the expense of sky-high blood pressure readings for every Myrtle Beach resident.
Gotta love the postseason.
