Box hasn't been updated for a while but 0-0 top of the 2nd in the DSL.
Box is also showing the Red Sox as the home team except that it says venue TBD but Rangers hit first.
Now 0-0 after 2.
Rangers scored 2 in the top of the third. Diaz not Bautista on the bump.

Rangers tack on another in the t-5th, and they're up again in the t-6th leading 3-0. Sox limited to just 2 H so far (Carrizalez triple, Benoit single).
EDIT - Make it 4-0. The last 2 runs charged to Shair Lacrus. Carlos Caceres got the last 2 outs in the t-6th.

New pitcher in for the Rangers in the b-7th after Pedro Payano worked a gem (6 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 8 K). Yoan Aybar greets Sergio Suarez with a leadoff triple.

Aybar scored on a Carrizalez grounder, but that's been it for the Sox. They're down to their final 3 outs in the b-9th trailing 5-1.
EDIT - The bottom of the order (Aybar, Carrizalez, Benoit) goes down swinging against Kevin Sosa. The Rangers win the series, 3-1, and a superb season for the DSL Sox comes to an end. Lots of promising talent on the island.

Great season considering that they graduated Devers and Basabe.

You have to be thrilled with our international department. Get two stud pitchers going next year too.

Looking at Pawsox lineup. Good chance most of these guys return to AAA and with a couple of callups. Our entire starting 8 will be Sox draft choices along with 3 1st rounders in the rotation. Owens being a sandwich pick.
C - Swihart 1b - T. Shaw 2b - S. Coyle SS - D. Marrero 3b - G. Cecchini LF - A. Hassan CF - JBJ RF - B. Bretz DH - WMB
Rotation Henry Owens Matt Barnes Brian Johnson
I'd be curious the last time an organization had a completely homegrown AAA team. Would have to think decades

Little btw story on GCL Sox manager Kotchman...
Talked with him a few minutes on the way out of Tampa, before the bus celebration and what had transpired between his HaSox days and now..
Tom said his HaSox days were a distant memory. It wa strange, as his "waddle" was what I remembered most about him at 3b from the box. It hadn't changed one bit from 30+ years ago. Mentioned that to him as well, that was how recognized him and he chuckled.. That his knees were worse now than then.
Didn't want to hold him up long, as knew there was a celebration on the way, so let him go after congratulating him one more time.
Edit:
I forgot about this and was going to mention it yesterday...
I chatted with a group of Cuban friends of Rusney's who were following him and about to leave with him. Rusney came over and talked with them a cpl times during the game. One of them I talked to during the game several times, he mentioned that contrary to reports, Rusney WAS playing organised ball since he left Cuba, not much baseball, but Softball all over the Caribbean.
He mad a point of mentioning that NONE of this he saw reported in any English news anywhere that he saw. Cubans from Rusney's H/T, other amateurs over this past winter played and he was in a league as late as June.

Great season considering that they graduated Devers and Basabe. Absolutely. This was one of the three youngest in the 36-team DSL with a weighted average age of 17.9 for pitchers and 17.7 for hitters (fwiw, league weighted-average ages are 18.9 and 18.2 respectively). As you note, they had their two best offensive players promoted stateside mid-season, yet still reached the championship round. Offensively they were one of just 8 DSL clubs to average at least 6 runs per game, ranked 10th in team OPS (.708; league = .671) and had had the 12th-best walk rate (10.9% of PA; league = 10.3). On the base paths they attempted 1.99 steals per game, which ranked just 21st (league = 2.16) but were 7th in success rate at 69.8% (league = 65.7%). On the mound, the Sox had the 4th best ERA (2.79; league = 3.71), 5th-best WHIP (1.204; league = 1.380), and 6th-lowest walk rate (3.3 BB/9IP; league = 4.1). Again, that's out of 36 teams. Significant room for improvement lies in their collective strikeout rate, which ranked next-to-last (6.6 K/9; league = 7.6). Sox batteries also allowed stolen bases at well-above-average rates, with runners successful 77.5% of the time. Surprisingly, opposing teams only attempted 1.84 steals per game. Samuel Miranda (72.5 SB%; 1.82 SBA/G) and Isaias Lucena (73.2 SB%; 1.81 SBA/G) were the most successful catchers at limiting the running game, while it was pretty much Kentucky Derby Day anytime Roldani Baldwin (26 SB in 29 SBA; 89.7%) and Pablo Urena (4 SB in 4 tries) were behind the dish.

Mets suck, they don't even broadcast their playoff games. On the other hand, Myrtle Beach does SalSox opened up with three hits. 1-0 but it would be 2-0 if there was review, Vinicio stole a base but bad ump call. Matty Johnson scored the run Carlos Asuaje knocked him in. There's something you don't see everyday, oh wait. First time I've seen Dahlstrand. Big guy but not a physical specimen not fat but not innings horse looking. Scouting report says FB, curve, slider but 1st inning was FBs and changeups. Strikeout was a swing and miss on a change with late drop. MB one of the rare MiLB TV's with a good look at the pitches (CF camera). Most have a view from behind the catcher. Pelicans pitcher throws a lot of curves. Portland up 1-0 on a Coyle HR. 2nd inning for Dahlstrand, same as the first. Final out on a change except this one was looking. Sitting 92-93 but hit 95. Announcer said he has a curve and slider but he hasn't thrown them yet, mostly FBs with a few changes mixed in.

Portland up 1-0 on a Coyle HR. Actually Coyle's HR in the 4th tied the game. Mets scored on a leadoff walk & 2 singles in the b-3rd. Still knotted 1-1 after 5 complete. Johnson so far: 5 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 1 BB, 6 K, 65 pitches, 45 strikes

OOps missed that. PawSox 0-0 bottom 3rd Portland 1-1 top 6th Salem up 1-0 after 3
Margot hit the ball hard both times up. First AB was a center field warning track easy flyout, second AB sortof linedrive down the RF line for a double. Interesting, Pelican announcer said **insert managers name here** was most worried about Asuaje this series.

No worries and no shame. You're already doing yeoman's work with the continuous and simultaneous updates of multiple games, which is much appreciated.

No worries, LOL it's interesting. Portland just put up a 4 spot. 3R HR by Chester. 5-1 now top of the 6th.
Salem still 1-0 after 4. Dahlstrands bio indicates a potential command problem but he's been throwing to the catchers mitt all night. Mixing in his curve now, it's not at all slurvy but not real sharp either.

In that same inning, Castillo singled on a slow roller to 3B, took 2B on a bunt, then stole 3rd & scored his first US professional run on a KDLC single.

That AAA lineup is my dream to have homegrown kids and no more 35 year old 4 A players.

Mike Antonellis ?@seadogsradio 3m Rusney Castillo with a great running catch in the gap in right-centerfield.
Scratch that. Mike just corrected himself. It was Wilkerson, who moved from RF to CF replacing Rusney in the b-6th defensively. Castillo done after 5.5 tonight.

Binghamton gets a run back in the b-6th on a double & RBI single. Both hits by RHH (T.J. Rivera & Jayce Boyd) and pulled to LF.
Johnson gets the last two outs of the frame on Ks looking.

Vinicio with a WOW play. Climbed the ladder on a soft liner. Witte had a nice play earlier as well.
Still 1-0 after 5. Dahlstrand with more deep counts that inning 2Ks on 3-2 counts and a lineout on a 3-2 count.
Portland up 5-2 top 7th
PawSox 0-0 bottom 5th.

Johnson having the least effective start of any of this evening's Sox starters. Better use him as a trade chip before teams figure out that he's worthless.EDIT: In all seriousness, we are seeing some SERIOUS starting pitching out of the Sox full-season teams tonight.

Would have to think decades Things I'd be stunned about: 1) Will Middlebrooks starting next year in Pawtucket 2) Both Alex Hassan and Bryce Brentz starting next year in the organization. (Although I guess the stunner would be if both were on the 40 man still. Maybe one gets DFA'ed and clears.) I agree with our projection and see Cecchini primarily in left next year. But yeah, there will be very few MLFAs on that Pawtucket team. Maybe a couple.

How were Castillo's outs? Any hard contact yet? Saw this too:
@jojoscafe01: #bmets #seadogs rusney Castillo scores a run, on a single to left from De La Cruz. Castillo nearly got picked off at 1b and 2b before that
