First, Mortensen and Beato are both out of options and would need to clear waivers to get back to Pawtucket, so shouldn't they be in red? And after looking at the 40-man roster situation, I'd put Mortensen in green in the MLB pen. He's a lot like Lin in that regard.
I'd put Acquisition as the MLB LF (I think they'll go after Choo), move Kalish to the PawSox OF, Nava to the MLB bench (the listed team has no LH bat to platoon with Ross on the road, where he's been inept against RHP), Dejesus to trade candidate (both he and Ciriaco are out of options and they've almost never carried two backup MI), Aviles back to SS, and Iglesias back to Pawtucket.
I'd swap Gomez and Sands -- the latter needs to play every day to try to minimize his slump duration and reach his considerable upside; relegate him to 4th OF now and there's a small chance you're missing out on a star. Whereas Gomez has nothing left to prove and is ready to platoon at 1B (and be the emergency 3B).
All of that gives them an extra half-year or year to evaluate Kalish, Sands, and Iglesias. Kalish, Sands, and Brentz will all be candidates for the other corner OF in 2014, or they can re-sign Acquisition.
I don't think there's any way that Britton doesn't get promoted to the PawSox rotation, where he can bump Hernandez to the pen (replacing Mortensen). And Stewart and Pimentel should be swapped -- Stolmy is still the much better prospect and will be given the longer chance to stay a starter (plus the extra innings of experience).
If you've got any inside info to counter these suggestions, we'd love to hear them!
