Cubs just don't think it would take this long if he was coming back to the Sox, truly hope I am wrong however.

Hoping it's Cubs, these deals usually turn out bad. Love Lester tho....

He's coming back. He was always coming back. Great job by his agents though to get him the most money possible out of the Red Sox.

Lester will wind up in Chicago with the Cubs. I hope not. I'd certainly hate to the prospects the Sox have to trade to get a pitcher comparable to Jon Lester.

I voted RS. But just in case, LL should prepare notes for a call to the Globe - concerns about Jon's habit of pushing little old ladies into traffic, weed in his locker, possible terrorist connections.

@buster_ESPN: In saying no, Lester called SF GM Brian Sabean, Manager Bruce Bochy and catcher Buster Posey to thank them for their respect in the process.
Gotta respect that. I respect any move Lester makes, I'll just be happy when he makes it.

jmei. your stealing my thread. I think it's the Red Sox.....unbelievably. For about 24-30 million dollars more than they had to....had they not made an insulting low ball spring offer.

When have we done this? I think you're thinking of Yankees. Anyway can't vote from phone but my heart says Red Sox.

I voted other, just to see the results. I think I'm going to change it to Red Sox. Maybe he'll change his mind.

For a change, I got the right answer in a poll. I'm not too happy about it, though.

I figured the Red Sox had actually offered $150m, I actually kind of glad they didn't.
