Some significant hitting performances from the season's first month (outside of Swihart, Margot, etc, which it seems like have been discussed):
JBJ: 325/388/416 (just 15.3% K rate) Bryce Brentz: 297/361/514 (but 27.7% K rate) Jantzen Witte: 348/392/500 Keury De La Cruz: 282/378/542 Mauricio Dubon: 338/370/416 Nick Longhi: 301/346/479 Javier Guerra: 283/295/500(!)
And, for entertainment purposes, here are the top 5 (well, 6) in total bases in the system: Brentz: 38 Margot: 35 Longhi: 35 Witte: 33 JBJ: 32 Dubon: 32

Ty Buttrey promoted to Salem, per Brian MacPherson.

Whitson to Greenville would make the most sense for replacing his spot in the rotation.
Not sure if this would signal McAvoy or Dahlstrand getting the bump to Portland.

I'd be surprised if it were McAvoy. He has only 15 2/3 innings above Lowell, so that would be super aggressive. I agree that Dahlstrand is a real possibility to be promoted sooner than later.

Yeah, I'd agree James.

Salem had an open roster spot. Dedgar Jimenez is going up to Greenville.

Pat Light since he was hammered in his first outing (just his second in his career in relief):
6 G, 11.1 IP, 7 H, 1 BB, 16 SO. 1 HR / ER. That's a 1.79 FIP to go with the 0.79 ERA.
But wait, there's more. In one of those games he was dominant for 2.1 IP, and they sent him out for a 4th inning of work, and he gave up a homer and 4 singles while getting only two outs. Remove that and you get:
6 G, 9.2 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 16 SO. 0 HR/ER.
He could be in Pawtucket pretty quickly at these rates.
