Please vote above for the player you felt had the best month of April. You may use almost any criteria you wish in judging each player's month. The one exception is that we ask that voters ignore a player's prospect status - in other words, please don't vote for a player based on the fact that you think he will be a better major league player down the road. However, to be clear, you may use other criteria in judging the candidates relative to one another that go beyond stats, such as age relative to level and the like. Just don't pick, say, a top 10 prospect over an org guy based solely on that. Voting for this poll will close Monday at 2:00 pm. Jackie Bradley Jr.: 19 G, 85 PA, 25 H, 7 2B, 9 R, 6 RBI, 6 BB, 13 K, 1 SB, 1 CS, .325/.388/.416 Bryce Brentz: 19 G, 83 PA, 22 H, 7 2B, 3 HR, 11 R, 9 RBI, 8 BB, 23 K, .297/.361/.514 Mauricio Dubon: 19 G, 82 PA, 26 H, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 13 R, 8 RBI, 3 BB, 10 K, 6 SB, 2 CS, .338/.370/.416 Nick Longhi: 18 G, 79 PA, 22 H, 5 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 9 R, 7 RBI, 5 BB, 9 K, .301/.346/.479 Manuel Margot: 18 G, 77 PA, 22 H, 4 2B, 3 3B, 1 HR, 16 R, 7 RBI, 7 BB, 1 K, 9 SB, 2 CS, .324/.377/.515 Jantzen Witte: 18 G, 74 PA, 23 H, 5 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 7 R, 19 RBI, 6 BB, 11 K, 1 CS, .348/.392/.500 Full April stats

Lots of awesome months here. Margot, but Longhi and Brentz aren't far behind. Also, something looks weird with the wOBA calculations on the site, unless it's calculated differently by league. Longhi should definitely be behind Margot. Margot has an extra 2 triples instead of a double and a HR which should help him, 2 extra walks, and fewer PAs, but has a higher wOBA (.399 to .386).

FWIW, there were a number of guys who could've taken the last couple spots. Marrero was the last one out. Swihart got consideration but didn't really show the pop. Carlos Mesa and Keury De La Cruz, and to a lesser extent Jake Romanski, were casualties of not getting enough PT (and Mesa, as a 27 year old in Low A who pretty clearly is only there because he came with Moncada, is a guy I'd have a hard time including here at all, honestly).

The wOBA calculations should be different for each league. It uses a number of constants that are specific to that run environment (league/year).

Margot's performance demands the vote, but Bradley's bounce-back from almost 2 years of (offensive) suck is almost as impressive. Anecdotally, it seems like post-prospects who crash and burn offensively like he did almost never regain their luster or value. That Bradley seems to be climbing out of his considerable funk (knock on wood) might be one of the most important early season developments in the whole system.

Hesitated for a moment on Margot. Then looked again at the K numbers in comparison, and that cinched it.
