Also "Keith Couch for real this time"? Yeah.....that's a biggie for me too! Not really. I hope Keith gets an opportunity with another organization eventually. Him and Haley have been good "soldiers".

Wouldn't say that for Haley, but yeah, Couch is one of the resident org elder statesmen. Length of time with the org, haven't made MLB debut or been added to the 40, haven't left and come back (i.e., Oscar Tejeda): Draft: 2009 - Madison Younginer 2010 - Henry Ramos, Jacob Dahlstrand, Keith Couch IFA: 2008 - William Cuevas 2009 - Luis Diaz, Keury De La Cruz, Jose Vinicio, Mario Alcantara 2010 - David Sopilka, Deiner Lopez, Edwar Garcia, Aneury Tavarez, Alixon Suarez, Aneudis Peralta

Going back to April 25th, JBJ has a 17 game AAA on base streak counting today. During that time he's hitting a whopping 27/65 (.415) counting 2/3 so far today. I realize there's obviously some BABIP voodoo probably going on here but it seems really encouraging to me.

He only got 11 ABs in 12 days, and the starters were RA Dickey, Sonny Gray and King Felix. At least he can hit meatballs now haha www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=141223983&sid=milb

Lol oh my god look at the recap for the top of the 9th. Hilarious. The RF and DH were switching back and forth as pitcher and kept giving up hits to right field.

Any indication as to why Kopech left the game in the 2nd inning? Was it just a rough inning with a high pitch count? It looks like there was both a WP and HBP at some point...

cheering on Jantzen Witte and Blake Tekotte to make the all-star team in EL and then get promoted to AAA so we can watch some guys who can hit over .250
I.L. seems to be the place some players go to get into permanent slumps. Too many Pawsox. Too many slumps.
I am also rooting for Tim Roberson to get his first BB at some point this month.

I realize there's obviously some BABIP voodoo probably going on here but it seems really encouraging to me. I had some doubt about his future with the organization until this Sunday, when Cafardo opined that he needed to be traded in order to get a chance to play. I'm now quite confident that he has a future here after all. (Sarcasm aside, there's no prospect in AAA or AA who projects to be an MLB starter, so the third OF spot next year (and probably the year after) is either a Hanley who has mysteriously learned to play LF, a Craig who has come so far with the bat that he would be a better option than JBJ, or JBJ himself. He's really setting himself up for a Rusney - JBJ - Mookie OF next year, with Hanley at 1B.)

Lol oh my god look at the recap for the top of the 9th. Hilarious. The RF and DH were switching back and forth as pitcher and kept giving up hits to right field. Well, they just switched them once. They brought the RF, Figueroa, in to pitch, and put the DH, Yovera into RF. Figueroa proceeds to go BB, FB 1B to RF, BB, LD 1B to RF, so they swap them and Yovera goes FB 2B to RF, FB 1B to RF, foul out to end the carnage. Of course, the bigger problem was that 17-y/o Victor Familia, making his pro debut, retired the first 3 guys he faced (1 in the 8th) and then gave up 1B, 2B, 2B, ROE (GB), 2B, ROE (by 3B Elwin Tejeda), 1B, 1B.
