How much SS had Doubon played? Can he stick there?

How much SS had Doubon played? Can he stick there? He played it exclusively last year (bumping Guerra at times) and is likely to be able to stick there defensively.

I was looking at baseball america's top 10 prospects for the sox and as of today 5 of the top ten are playing in Boston. It will be 6 when the sox bring up Brian Johnson.

How much SS had Doubon played? Can he stick there? 15 at SS and 30 at 2B and 2 DHing. ADD: I read multiple times (Speier mainly) that he has the tools to play there, he's just playing with a team who has a guy with a ++ glove ceiling.

You know Larry I was thinking about the make-up the team last night, and what needs to be understood and played-up is that we have SIX YOUNG-INS on the team currently trying to establish their careers. That is a lot! ERod, Mookie, Xander, Swihart, Barnes, and Rusney. I love these "kids" but it does play with consistency somewhat. But to be honest, I want another (Brian Johnson) to be added over the next month or two into the rotation. These players are our future. And let me take the time to do some dreaming. Four of those guys (in the best scenario) may be the equivalent of the Yankee's BIG 4 starting in the late 90's. Oh please make it so!! Xander is our Jeter. Betts is our Bernie Williams. Swihart is our Jorge. And Eduardo Rodriguez is our Andy Petitte. Now if we can just find our Mariano! Wouldn't be sweet if this group had the success of the MFY group? Oh well, a fellow can dream.....especially when the parent club sort of sucks right now.

Hopefully E-Rod won't resort to using performance enhancers, and then get caught and have to apologize for it. Twice. That we know of.

Old friend Brandon Snyder with the only walk off Masterson. Unfortunately, that's about it for good news.

Funny, but while looking over the Salem/Potomac box scores, I noticed Tsu-Wei Lin with a Hr. Knowing him not to be a power hitter I checked the Batting description below the box to see if it was inside-the - park. It read: HR Lin, T (2, 8th off Self....) Then I was totally confused.

Poor Justin. I feel badly for him. Once a very good talent, a horse, he seems about ready to look for another career. I am sure that the Sox have expended much time and energy examining him physically and mechanically for a root cause for velocity loss so, without public explanation of findings, this has to be one of the most puzzling things to happen that I can recall. I think the "rehab" was a last ditch effort to help him particularly as he is such a fine human being.
