Al Skorupa @alskor 12m12 minutes ago Justin Masterson having a strong day... but against a fairly free swinging Charlotte lineup. Topped 89 but working 85-87 or so

No mention of the long awaited Barry Bonds v Alfonso Soriano matchup in Portland?

Ok I'll bite. Moncada down to .213 and 3 ks tonight. 1/3 k rate with only three x_base hits in 60 ab. Add in the errors, and its a rough adjustment.

Salem Sox being no-hit through 7 innings. Interestingly, the opposing pitcher has just 4K's, but also 4BB's.

Peguero, an excellent pickup. Nice depth for AAA.
Seadogs baseball has been ugly. Marco at SS is a solid player and I look forward to watching Vinicio in the infield.
Seadogs lead the league in Unearned runs allowed. But not by much. It was ugly so far, but no errors tonite.

Williams Jerez with 3 innings for Salem. I'm guessing they are just trying to get him more innings, but maybe they are looking to try him as a starter next year?

He's been throwing 3 inning outings for nearly all of this year and a lot of last year. Typically just an indication that he's throwing well. He's a reliever. Given that he's already R5 eligible, they don't have time to work with him as a starter.
