Aren't we in the "no longer rehabbing" portion of Masterson's rehab? I know there is a limit.

Aren't we in the "no longer rehabbing" portion of Masterson's rehab? I know there is a limit. Rehab assignments can last up to 30 days, so he can be kept down until June 29 ( per the ProJo). I agree that at a certain point, it becomes kind of a sham and they either need to bring him up or release him, and that that point is probably after this rehab start.

Yeah, they've basically all but admitted they're stalling because they don't know what to do with him, right?

Keep stalling, there's nothing to do with him.

PawSox were already -2, so I'm guessing that makes room for Peguero as well.

With the Drive, The Tourists and the Hickory Crawdads all on the road this Friday, I'm driving over to Winston-Salem to see the Dash vs the visiting Salem Red Sox.
it's great living in this part of the country because once the short Season teams get going I'll have:
Asheville Tourists (10 minute walk)
Greeneville Astros, Johnson City Cardinals and Greenville Drive are all about an hour away.
Hickory Crawdads, Tennessee Smokies, Bristol Pirates, Kingsport Mets, about 90 minutes away
Charlotte Knights 2 Hours away
Winston Salem Dash, Greensboro Grasshoppers, Kannapolis Intimidators about 2:30
And that's not even counting Colleges. Seriously if your a baseball nut move to NC

Keep stalling, there's nothing to do with him. Pre DFA appearance? We can hope, though unfortunately, it's in all likelihood not going to happen.. Quite yet.

I like the "special" being posted on the Pawsox broadcast for tonight.. "meet Bill Lee". I have to ask.. Does he still look like a woolly Bully? He had a nice.. Flowing beard going on when the senior league was alive and well years ago. It looked nice on him. Then after games, him walking around with that hobo hat, sandals and some raggedy looking shorts.. He looked like some beach bum (no offense), though was cool as can be and commonly was in the stands in games he wasn't pitching at chain o lakes.

I'll be at Greensboro NC tonight to see Greenville Not much to note so far in a quick game. Greensboro pitcher throwing high 90s and mid 80s, lots of Ks. Lhp Betts at 92 93 ( I'm sitting amidst the guns ) but gave up hard contact and a GS in 4th. Moncada could have been charged with an error on a dribbler. Looks good in the uniform. Very hot and humid.

Gotta' love Bill Lee on the radio.. Making his beautiful predictions.. "Guy that only throws 88MPH high cheese ain't going back to the show", meaning Masterson. Lee was all over Masterson the entire time he was on the radio, for various things, picking things apart.
Still frank after all these years.

Masterson 4 K 3 BB 1 WP through 6 innings.
He can have Breslow's spot in the bullpen.

Think that's kind of like how Barnes is going to have to approach his relief role now.. Stop throwing 3/4 FB and bring that changeup more into his game.. He threw how many in a row right there?? 6?, 7? Not that many before getting the 3rd out on a high 95FB, but throw that change way more often to get hitters off his FB.

Light mowed Charlotte down in the 8th. After initially having some control problems with the 1st batter, took handful of pitches to finish the inning. Sat 93-95. Didn't notice any higher on the screen.

Longhi follows up a good week. last game 3-5 tonight 2-4 back to .294 and leading the team in RBI's. Chavis HR and looking good lately In the Greenville game, Chavis's HR was to RCF, as was that of Myers. Of Jordan Procyshen's (the announcer said Praw-SHOE-shen) two hits, one could have been called an error. Guerra looked really smooth at SS, quick, agile, relaxed, sure-handed, strong-armed. Skinny though, as is Dubon. Procyshen looked nimble behind the plate. Nothing special from the two most interesting hitters, Moncada and DH Devers, though Moncada pulled a ball between the 1b and 2b for his 1 for 4. Longhi was pronounced Long-guy, not Long-gee

Longhi was pronounced Long-guy, not Long-gee Then they were pronouncing it incorrectly. Not trying to be snarky at your or anything - there are definitely pronunciations that I'm unsure of, but it's definitely LONG-ee. Thanks for the report. What do you think of the park? I've heard good things and I know they tend to draw pretty well.
