Greenville is tied with three games to go in the first half but would lose a tiebreaker. I'll be at the Greenville game tonight and will provide a report.

That moment when you realize Trey Ball is having a better season than Kohl Stewart.
Oh and happy short season A day!

Trey "Mr. Zero" Ball going tonight. Everyone needs a nickname. Apologies to Frank Brimsek.

Looks like the Lowell rotation will be Ramos/Rosenbaum/Cosart/Almonte/Romero to start. I'd venture a guess that Gonzalez will piggyback Rosenbaum, who hopefully won't need long in Lowell, but that could also be the rotation spot that Lakins takes when he signs (although after 96 college innings he'll probably be on the three-inning start plan).
And a nice little pitching matchup in the Atlanta suburbs tonight. Interested to see what the PawSox do with Folty.

Any word on Karsten Whitson? Deafening silence. We'll see what comes out. Have some high hopes for this guy, and it seems like we need a Snowden to find out much about his destination. Has anyone on here decided to "hack" the Sox database?

Has anyone on here decided to "hack" the Sox database? I tried pa55w0rd but it didn't seem to work. Have you tried Sawdaye's Login credentials here?

In the early says of baseball publicity on the web, Red Sox press releases were basically www.redsox.com/date, like redsox.com/061915 if it were today. I noticed this and wondered if they ever uploaded things on the web before announcing them and giving the url. I did get one press release that way, hours before they released it. It was a minor transaction. But fun! I think I put it on the bosox list.

I hope we have someone in Lowell tonight to get an updated scouting report in Luis Ramos. He K'd the side in the first (along with a BB and allowing 1 hit).

Basabe just got lucky. Attempted a steal, stopped halfway to go back and slid under the tag. He was successful 2 pitches later.

Fastball is straight from 87 to 90. Offspeed pitch is hitting the dirt a lot.
