Ockimey with this first solo shot of the season today! He's off to a fantastic start for the Spinners.

I've been impressed in an admittedly tiny sample. Some real bat speed and strength. Got to hope the approach/pitch recognition skills continue to improve.

Chavis has some real power when he connects. That long out to CF was smoked.

Johnson hurt in the 1st. That's what we get for not calling him up. just announced on weei that the pawsox have notified the media that he left due to illness not injury which is a great bit of news...

Does Callahan remind anyone else of Michael Bowden? big, strong kid who throws over the top and can't get his FB down in the zone?

Looks like Johnson was removed for a non-injury reason...http://nesn.com/2015/06/report-brian-johnsons-early-exit-from-pawsox-start-not-injury-related/

Fun SSS fact: Josh Ockimey now has more XBH (4 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR) in 31 AB at Lowell than he did (3 2B, 1 3B, 0 HR) in 112 AB in the GCL last year.
Nice to see that the early season Spring Training reports (a positive showing against Clay Buchholz if I remember right) seem to be lining up with the results so far this season.

Wow Lowell and Gcl is taking off. Jalen Williams four shutout innings. The kid Hill is hitting good. Kemp also. I admit is hard following the International kids.
