has attendance fallen off at Portland? 13-29 home record lead the league in Unearned Runs Allowed, sloppy play. maybe Margot and Travis will be an attraction.
4600 last night I wonder how many were still there in the 16th inning.

I would take Nava over Napoli TODAY... sans rehab... Move Vicky for a bucket of balls or a case of sunflower seeds and let Nava play 1b until next year.

Wait, you want Nava oVEr Napoli, but you want to move our best RF in the last three years (when healthy) to do it? If you're going to give someone away, make it Napoli.

I sincerely doubt attendance at minor league games has much to do with the home team's record. I'd bet 90 percent of the people at a given game are even aware of the teams' respective records when they get tickets.

At Portland I agree with that, but in places where there isn't an obvious connection between the parent club and minor league city then I think it probably helps to have a competitive team. Speaking from experience, Syracuse did much better at the end of last year attendance-wise because they were going to the IL playoffs. Though the biggest thing in these places is to have a big-name prospect: Harper or Strasburg in 'Cuse, Mariano Rivera Jr. in Auburn, etc.

Agree with 90% of people not knowing the record especially for the teams around my area (LV Pigs, Reading, Scranton). They have bouncy slides, games, pitch speed contests, all that stuff at IronPigs games. I think a majority of people go to those games just for family fun or just to casually enjoy a baseball game on a nice night. I'm sure it's fairly similar at most MiL venues.

GCL Sox lose their first game of the year today the GCL Twins. But it required 13 innings to do it. Sox now 10-1

All good things must end, and so it is with the GCL undefeated streak. They fall to the GCL Twins in the 13th inning. Rafael Oliveras (a second baseman) was the losing pitcher, so the GCL Sox still have not had a pitcher lose a game this year. Oliveras was on base five times in his regular role, so don't blame him too much.

Benny Baseball in the lineup tonight for Lowell...batting 3rd and playing CF. 2-3 with with at least an extra base hit and 2 walks or I'll call him a bust! Add: The out should be also a lineout

After 6 innings, Kelly has only give up 2H and 1ER, along with 7K's but 3BB's
